Where to Find Red Gems

Red Gems are some of the earliest gems you mine as you begin your Disney Dreamlight Valley adventures. You find them in the Biomes of Dreamlight Valley that are opened first. Yet, you’ll find that these are not the only red gems around. Looking for others? Here’s where to find all the Red Gems in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Mining for Red Gems

It’s easy to see that Red Gems come in quite handy. Besides being a good source of income, they are also resources for crafting items to decorate the Valley or your house. You mine them for various Dreamlight Duties, Mist Duties or special event Star Paths, as well.

You can find some red gems in Dreamlight Valley, as mentioned. However, take a trip to Eternity Isle to find them all!

Locations of all Red Gems

Garnet

  • Plaza (Dreamlight Valley)
  • Peaceful Meadow (Dreamlight Valley)
  • The Plains in Glittering Dunes (Eternity Isle)
  • The Wastes in Glittering Dunes (Eternity Isle)

Ruby

  • Vitalys Mines Sunlit Plateau (Dreamlight Valley)

Spinel

  • The Gove in Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)
  • The Promenade in Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)

Red Gems are required to complete the Lovely Monsters Star Path Duty #62: Dig for red gems. And yes, you don’t really ‘dig’ for gems, you mine for them. Still, saying dig adds to the puzzle factor of this particular star path.

Red Gems are also required to complete Dapper Delights Star Path Duty #42 Mine for Red Gems. But for this Star Path, only the Red Dreamlight Valley gems qualify for completion. Spinel, which are found on Eternity Isle, do not count for this Star Path.

Enjoy!

The Path to Glittering Dunes & Wild Tangle

Gain access to Eternity Isle’s Glittering Dunes and Wild Tangle, to reach all the Red Gems. This is done during Jafar’s quest The Sands in the Hourglass.

The Plains is the first accessible section of Glittering Dunes. You can mine there for Garnets. If you want additional options for mining Garnets, open another section of Glittering Dunes, the one known as The Wastes.

As you approach the entrance to The Wastes, it’s obvious that the path is blocked. It takes 4000 Mist to clear the way.

Spinel is a new red gem found only on Eternity Isle. It’s in 2 different sections of the Wild Tangle, both of which require Mist to open. 4000 Mist clears the entrance to The Grove in Wild Tangle and 6000 Mist provides entry to The Promenade.

Happy Mining.
