Make a Zen Garden

Add a calm and peaceful element to Dreamlight Valley or Eternity Isle by making a beautiful Zen Garden and placing it in your favorite Biome. Here is everything you need to know on how to make a Zen Garden of your very own in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Make a Zen Garden

Building a Zen Garden requires only 3 resources. Sounds simple, right? The catch is that it requires a Lot of each of those resources.

Head to your favorite crafting station and bring up the menu. You’ll find the Zen Garden crafting recipe under the Furniture tab.

Zen Garden Crafting Recipe:

  • Stone – 100
  • Pebbles – 100
  • Sand – 200

Did I just hear a groan? Yes, the quantities required to make this serene garden frustrates many a Gamer. It’s a lot.

Don’t see the Zen Garden recipe in your furniture recipe list? It’s likely that this is the reason why…

  • Many of the crafting recipes will only show up in your recipe lists after you have collected or made, for the first time, at least 1 of each of the items used in the recipe.

Nevertheless, be sure to scan all the way to the bottom of the Furniture Tab. If you don’t have enough resources in your inventory to make an item, the recipe is moved to the bottom of the list and grayed out until you do.

Finding Resources for the Zen Garden

If you’ve been playing Disney Dreamlight Valley for a while, the quantity required for each item in the Zen Garden recipe list may not cause you to pause. However, Gamers fairly new to the Valley may need a little time to gather the goods. Here are a few tips on where to find the items.

Where to Find the Resources Needed to build a Zen Garden:

Stone:

There are several ways to collect stone.

  • Mine (Dreamlight Valley-All Biomes)
  • Break Stone Piles (Dreamlight Valley-All Biomes)
  • Purchase at Kristoff’s Stall: 2 Star Coins (Max 20 per day)

Pebbles:

Found by digging in the following places. Take along a “Digging” Buddy and they will throw extra pebbles your way.

  • Dazzle Beach (Dreamlight Valley)
  • Forest of Valor (Dreamlight Valley)
  • Sunlit Plateau (Dreamlight Valley)
  • Forgotten Lands (Dreamlight Valley)
  • The Grasslands-Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)
  • The Promenade-Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)
  • The Grove-Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)
  • The Lagoon-Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)

You can also buy a limited amount from Kristoff, however it appears randomly, so not every day.

  • Purchase at Kristoff’s Stall: 10 Star Coins (Max. 20 per day)

Sand:

Found by digging in the, yes, sand in following places. Don’t forget to have a “Digging” Buddy with you, so that you can get extra sand.

  • Dazzle Beach (Dreamlight Valley)
  • The Plains-Glittering Dunes (Eternity Isle)
  • The Wastes-Glittering Dunes (Eternity Isle)
  • The Oasis-Glittering Dunes (Eternity Isle)
  • The Borderlands-Glittering Dunes (Eternity Isle)

A few more places to find sand:

  • Breaking large and small Sand Rocks on Dazzle Beach (Dreamlight Valley)
  • Purchase at Kristoff’s Stall: 8 Star Coins (Max 20 per day)

Even though a “Digging” Buddy doesn’t help when you break Sand Rocks, doing so is a fast way to accumulate sand. Plus, breaking Sand Rocks doesn’t leave holes behind for you to refill.

The Opening of Eternity Isle

The search for resources for your Zen Garden can take you all over Eternity Isle. If you haven’t opened all the areas, here is a complete list of the quests and Mist amounts needed to do just that.

Quests needed to cross the bridge to Glittering Dunes and Wild Tangle:

While you have immediate access to The Plains of Glittering Dunes and The Grasslands of Wild Tangle once you cross over the bridge from The Courtyard, all the other areas in Glittering Dunes and Wild Tangle require Mist to open. Here’s how much.

  • The Wastes (Glittering Dune) – 4000 Mist
  • The Oasis (Glittering Dune) – 6000 Mist
  • The Borderlands (Glittering Dune) – 10,000 Mist
  • The Promenade (Wild Tangle) – 6000 Mist

  • The Lagoon, accessed through The Grove (Wild Tangle) – 10,000 Mist

Enjoy Eternity Isle!
