Disney Dreamlight Valley is turning two years old soon, and the game has really evolved since its early release in 2022. Twelve updates, star paths, a huge expansion and a host of new villagers later, we have come to the end of the current release Roadmap.

The August 6, 2024, Disney Dreamlight Valley announcement came from Joshua Labelle, the Creative Director of Disney Dreamlight Valley. He has big news about what Gameloft has in store for players over the next few months!

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming our way. It’s guaranteed to add a sprinkle of magic to our gaming experience!

Mark your calendars for August because Princess Tiana is making her grand entrance!

This free content update not only brings Tiana, but it also introduces her elegant Palace and charming 1920s-inspired outdoor décor through another Star Path. Get ready to add a touch of royalty and vintage class to your village!

Rumor has it that she may also be bringing a new restaurant and a stall selling meals to the Valley, but that has yet to be confirmed.

The exciting “A Rift in Time” expansion is reaching its epic conclusion this August.

Dive deep into Jafar’s palace to thwart his nefarious plans and uncover more surprises that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

What is to become of Jafar? It’s still unclear if he will become a villager at the end of this storyline, but we only have a few short weeks to wait to find out.

October’s Disney Dreamlight Valley update will be filled with lots of fun and surprises, even though it will be a shorter and smaller update this time around. Gameloft has shared that its primary focus in October is going to be on fixes and quality-of-life improvements, hopefully setting the stage for a fabulous 2025.

Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King are joining the Valley in October! (Which is about time, in our opinion, since they have been in the opening video since the very beginning of the game!) We will help them tackle the pesky Night Mites in the Lion King Realm and likely bring them to the Valley to join their friends.

Gameloft has always been good about listening to player feedback and the remaining 2024 updates will be implementing some of the quality-of-life enhancements players have been begging for.

The next free update will include an update to the Furniture and Wardrobe menus. Hopefully, this will include a search function—the picture suggests that may be a possibility.

Gameloft is also working on a solution to give us “much more space and freedom to decorate” in our valleys. It’s a little cryptic but they acknowledge that our valleys are getting crowded.

The oversized houses are my primary issue, but others have decorated their valleys so much that it’s hard to move around in them. More space is desperately needed. (Some more exciting storage options would also be nice but that wasn’t called out specifically as an update.)

One last update, briefly mentioned, is to Photo Mode, but details were not given.

Great news for PlayStation users: cross-platform multiplayer is on the way!

Play with friends across different platforms, visit their villages, and share your creativity. Even more multiplayer features are set for 2025, ensuring everyone has a magical time, whether playing solo or with friends.

Gameloft has committed to using 2025 to focus on more of the many much-desired quality-of-life features within the game.

In addition, Disney Dreamlight Valley players can look forward to new characters, realms, clothing, and furniture inspired by our feedback. Stay tuned for more exciting surprises throughout 2024 and beyond!
