Dreamlight Valley Critters

Feeding Disney Dreamlight Valley critters is either a game favorite or a game curse. Some players love how cute the critters are. They make it their mission to collect each and every one of them. Meanwhile, others find it tedious and opt out quickly from chasing these little rascals all over town, except when a Dreamlight Duty requires it. Check out this Critters Guide! It will make this portion of the game much more enjoyable!

General Finding and Feeding Information

There are eight biomes in Dreamlight Valley. In each biome, there is a different species or type of critter. For example: The Plaza has squirrels. You will not find squirrels in any other biome.

Catching a Critter:

Each type of critter wants to be approached differently. Some, you can walk up to directly, while others want to play a game of Tag or Stop And Go. In the guide below, there are instructions on how to approach each type of critter.

Feeding a Critter:

Different Dreamlight Valley critters have different favorite foods. In most cases, the favorite foods are confirmed and listed below. However, the Sunbirds are unique and originally had the internet in a massive debate. It turns out that these beautiful birds are the only critters that seem to have a different favorite food for each different color Sunbird. We have the list of what worked well for our players.

Glade of Trust – Crocodile

Crocodiles are shy but happy critters. When fed their favorite food, they put on quite a joyful performance.

How to Approach: For those of you old enough to remember the childhood game Red Light Green Light, Crocodiles like to play a variation of that game.

First you need to get close enough to them that they notice you. Do not move while they decide if they are going to play or keep running. You know the game is on, when they stop and turn toward you.

The crocodile will raise and lower their head.

A raised head is a red light. Do not move.

A lowered head is a green light. Take a few steps closer (three at most) toward the Crocodile. Then freeze and do not move until they raise and lower their head again.

Repeat this until you get close to them. When you are close enough, they flop down and let you feed them.

The Sunbirds are quick, friendly birds in the Sunlit Plateau. They are not difficult birds to feed. All you have to do is walk up to them. However, their favorite food varies by Sunbird and selecting the right one for each bird is a little tricky.
