The Now and Then

You just removed the Chain Gate blocking your path to Jafar, in The Palace of Time, when a new barrier is placed in your path. A Time Rift that is now in front of you. Looking into it, you can see the place Merlin calls the Now and Then. You’ve made it this far. Are you brave enough to step through?

Stepping into The Now and Then

The Time Rift in the Palace of Time that is blocking the way to the Throne, and Jafar, leads to the Black and White Island that Mickey told you about. Merlin calls this in between world The Now and Then.

It seems that you are going to have to step through the Time Rift if you want to find a way to the other side of the barrier.

Here goes nothing!

It’s Mickey!

As you expected, everything around you turned Black and White as soon as you stepped through the Time Rift. Even you!

What a strange sight.

Taking a look around, you see a steamboat close to shore and movement on top of the ledge. It’s Mickey! You’re not alone on this Black and White Island after all.

Quest Task: Is that… Mickey? How did he get here?

Just Passing Through

Mickey appears to be stuck on the Black and White Island as well and has been here for a while. He is very happy to see you.

Surely, together, you can figure out how to pass through this Time Rift, leaving the island behind, and reach the Throne Room.

Mickey remembers seeing an old projector on the island. Perhaps it can help.

A Film Projector

You find the Film Project on the ledge that overlooks the small dock. It’s the old Film Projector that you and EVE made to close her Time Rift.

Interesting!

Turn it on and see what happens.

Wow! It punched a hole in the sky and you can see Jafar’s Throne Room on the other side. But the hole is way too high to reach!

Getting to it will take some imagination and crafting skills.

Gather More Items

If you and Mickey are going to make something that will reach the hole in the sky, you are going to need more supplies.

Search the island.

A locked treasure chest is hiding in a cave behind some rocks. Use your Royal Pickaxe to reach it.

Fishing produces the key to the locked treasure chest. Opening it, you find Gaston’s Ship in a Bottle tucked safely inside.

Breaking Copper Rocks on the beach uncovers Rapunzel’s Lantern.

The Hot Dog Stand you made with Mickey is buried on the ridge near Mickey. To reach it, you need to remove a rock pile that is blocking the path. Your Royal Pickaxe sure comes in handy!

Quest Task: Search the black and white island for things you can use to build something – 3.

Use Your Imagination

Show Mickey what you’ve found.

It’s so strange to see all these items here, but they are a good reminder of what you need to do next.

It’s all about using your Imagination! Your imagination will help you leave the Now and Then. And it will be the key to beating Jafar.

Time to craft a flying machine and head to the Throne Room!

Reaching Jafar

Jafar is quite surprised to see you sail into the Throne Room. He never expected you to escape his traps.

As Jafar expounds on the infinite power he now possesses, Mickey has an idea. And it is a great one at that!

Genie Jafar

You’ve tricked Jafar into turning himself into a Genie! And no self-respecting Genie would be without his lamp.

Ah, the lamp. It was a perfect trap. Once you pick it up, Jafar is under your command and as such, will remain safely tucked in the Lamp, for a long time.

The Spark of Imagination

Now you just have to figure out what to do with the Spark of Imagination. You want to use it to help Dreamlight Valley, but you don’t need anyone else, like Jafar, getting a hold of it.

Merlin has a great idea. There is a way to share the Spark of Imagination with the whole Valley. Instead of keeping it whole, you can scatter it everywhere. All you need to do is make the wish and it will happen!

Quest Task: Grab the Spark of Imagination.

One Last Wish

Before you scatter the Spark of Imagination across Dreamlight Valley, you have one last person you need to help. Mickey needs to get his color back and stay in the Now!

With that last task accomplished, the Spark of Imagination is spread across the Island! Eternity Isle is safe once more!
