In fact, he would like you to join him for dinner. A little thank you for helping restore the Sunlit Plateau. He even got a few recipes from Remy for the occasion.

Quest Task: Gather the meal for your dinner at Scar’s.

Since Scar doesn’t really cook, you are in charge of making the meals for your dinner with Scar.

Most of what you need to make the meals will likely be in your storage chest inventory. However, if you are short anything, here is where to find it.

Salmon

• Locations: Sunlit Plateau or Frosted Heights (Dreamlight Valley), The Grasslands or The Promenade (Eternity Isle)
• Circle Color: White and sometimes blue

Head to a nearby cooking station and prepare the meals. Remember to “use” the recipes Scar gave you if you have never made them before. This will place the recipes in your cooking station’s inventory for future use.

Quest Task: Meet Scar at his Cave.

Join Scar in his cave for dinner. That’s when the true purpose of his invitation comes to light.

Before The Forgetting, you hid something that was important to Scar. You were trying to teach him a lesson about caring for the Valley. Scar was hoping that he’d learned his lesson and that by sharing a meal with you, his item would be returned to him.

Interesting.

Quest Task: Make sure you have the meals for your dinner with Scar in your Inventory.

Talk to Merlin about the enchantment you placed on Scar’s item.

Merlin explains what happened before The Forgetting. You were trying to teach Scar the importance of caring for all the creatures in the Valley. But Scar turned around and tried to eat one of the Sunbirds.

Merlin suggests leading by example if you want to help break the enchantment and return Scar’s precious item.

To show Scar the importance of caring for the critters of Dreamlight Valley, build some bird feeders. If you don’t have all the materials you need, already in your storage chests, here is where to find them.

Scar needs to help you care for the animals in the Sunlit Plateau if he hopes to break the spell you placed on his treasured item. So, Scar helps you feed the Sunbirds…without trying to take a bit out of them this time.

Return to Scar’s Cave after feeding the Sunbirds and see if the enchantment has been broken.

Scar is a little disheartened. It didn’t appear to work.

Still, he does appreciate that you tried to help and this time when he says it, you can tell there isn’t a hidden agenda behind the words.

But wait! Something is happening. The Spell is broken.

The Mirror Shard that you had enchanted appears in the corner of Scar’s Cave. This little mirror let’s Scar see all over the Valley without leaving his cave. It is very important to him.

He’s very glad to get it back! And you’ve made a friend of Scar in the process.
