While cleaning up the South Market in Brave the Storm, Aladdin came across a strange Amulet with unfamiliar writing on it and instructs you to take it to Jasmine. She may be able to translate the words.

And Aladdin’s right! Jasmine is able to decipher enough of the writing to determine that the Amulet is for protection from the desert’s rage.

But the Amulet is not complete. The gemstones that help to weave the protection spell are missing.

Quest Task: Talk to Jasmine in the South Market about the strange amulet.

Quest Task: Explore the rooftops near the South Market to find where the Enchanted Gemstones could have gone.

Return to the rooftops on the south end of the South Market. There is a section of the rooftop balcony that leads to the west. The path was previously blocked by piles of Rotten Fruit. With your upgraded Royal Watering Can, you can now get rid of the Rotten Fruit and see what is around the corner.

Remove the Rotten Fruit and proceed along the balcony to the west. Directly ahead, is a stack of wooden boxes that have been taken over by a large group of monkeys!

The monkeys have the Gemstones!! But they won’t hand them over!

Quest Task: Explore the rooftops near the South Market to find where the Enchanted Gemstones could have gone.

Talk to Aladdin. If anyone knows how to deal with monkey business like this, it’s him.

Aladdin’s advice is to try to trade something for the Gemstones.

You did pass at least one Sandstone deposit with Golden Bananas behind it during your rooftop adventures. Golden Bananas seem like just the thing to give monkeys in exchange for gemstones. And, with your upgraded Royal Pickaxe, you can now break down the Sandstone to reach them.

It’s time to go Golden Banana harvesting!

Return to the Artisan’s District.

The shortest route from the South Market is through the double doors on the west wall. If you haven’t already, remove the bar that locks the doors shut from the South Market side. Head through those doors, go directly across the alley, through the next set of double doors, and into the Central Market.

Circle around the Central Market’s Large Sand Cyclone and pass through the archway into the Artisan’s District. Cross to the west side of the Artisan’s District and continue up the steps to the rooftop. You may need to remove the Sandstone Deposits at the top of the steps.

Once you reach the rooftop balcony, turn south (left). Go through the archway and remove the sandstone deposit along the balcony railing to get your first bunch of Golden Bananas.

One bunch of bananas will not be enough for this monkey business exchange, however. There are three (3) gems after all.

Quest Task: Find Golden Banana’s to trade to the monkeys in exchange for the Amulet’s gemstones – 3.

Take the steps back down into the Artisan District and move, south, into the fountain area. There are more Sandstone deposits built up on the Southeast side of the fountain. Caught between the Sandstone deposits is another bunch of Golden Bananas. You’re making good progress with your monkey business preparations.

Return to the South Market, by crossing back through the Central Market. Then, take the south ramp up to rooftop balcony and turn right (west) to get back to the monkey’s hangout.

You have two (2) Golden Banana bunches. The third bunch is in the Sandstone deposit that is just to the north of the pile of boxes that the monkeys occupy. There is a small Sand Cyclone blocking the path at the corner, but that’s not a problem. You can still reach the Sandstone deposit and Golden Bananas, as they are on this side of the Cyclone.

Talk to the monkeys once again. They are now willing to trade the gemstones for the Golden Bananas.

Quest Task: Trade the Golden Bananas to the monkeys for the Amulet’s gemstones.

Quest Task: Pick up the gemstones.

Take the gemstones to Aladdin so he can put them back into the Amulet.

Once the Amulet is repaired, put it on. You now have the ability to walk through the Small Sand Cyclones and the Dust Devils without incident. All of Aladdin’s Realm is now yours to explore!!

Quest Task: Bring the Amulet’s gemstones to Aladdin.

Quest Task: Wear the protective Amulet to safely explore the sandstorms.

Before you head off to check all the fun corners of Aladdin’s Realm that were previously blocked to you, why not try out the Protective Amulet right where you are.

There is a small Sand Cyclone in the Southeast corner of this rooftop balcony, just behind Aladdin. Walk into the Cyclone and let the image clear a little. You will see a Timber Stack, some Fine Silk and a Book. Pick up all three and return to Aladdin.

Quest Task: Explore the sandstorms for anything to help.

Pro Tip: Walk slowly through the small sand cyclones. Sometimes items are found in the center, but they are not always visible immediately upon entering the Cyclone. Things can be easily missed if you rush through to the other side.

The book is a great find, even if it is written in a mysterious language. Jasmine will definitely want to take a look at this! It might be just what is needed to stop the Windcaller!!
