Mother Gothel said “something” to Belle that really upset her. Belle, of course, told Beast about it and he is in a rage. After an attempt to calm him down, the two of you go to confront Mother Gothel.

Perhaps it was just a misunderstanding.

Clearly a peaceful conversation between Mother Gothel and Beast was not going to work. Mother Gothel sidesteps the issue and Beast continues to fume.

Beast wants action. Something must be done. You explain that lashing out in anger is not done in Dreamlight Valley, which only makes Beast become angry with you too.

This is not going well. Time to let Beast cool down and see if you can find out what actually happened.

As expected, Mother Gothel doesn’t feel there was anything wrong with her comments. She’s just trying to be helpful, afterall.

It takes some digging, but you finally find out what was actually said to Belle. Beast was right. Mother Gothel’s comments were really nasty. You need to talk to Beast again.

Quest Task: Give Beast some space and try to defuse the situation:

• Let Beast cool off for a while.
• Get Mother Gothel’s side of the story.

With a better understanding of the situation, you seek out Beast to let him know you now know what occurred and will come up with a plan to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Beast confesses that he took some of his anger out on the furniture in his house. He’s a bit embarrassed about the destruction and doesn’t want Belle to see.

First order of business – let’s pick up the mess and fix the house.

Quest Task: Pick up the broken pieces of furniture in Beast’s castle.

There are broken pieces of furniture in every corner of the room. Beast did a good job with his destruction.

Time to do a little damage repair.

With the castle back in order, we need to figure out what to do about the increasing nastiness of Mother Gothel’s comments to Villagers.

This mirror, however, does not tell you how beautiful you are or show you no wrinkles. This mirror shows “your true self”. No illusions. No self-deceptions.

We find a place near the Giant Willow Tree in the Glade of Trust to put our new mirror. Mother Gothel is sure to see it there!

Although Mother Gothel won’t admit it, she appears to have been affected by what she saw in the mirror.

She wants the “hideous mirror” (her words) gone. A good starting point for negotiations.
