Merlin’s “The Dark Castle” Quest took you into the Dark Castle to confront The Forgotten. Your attempt to ‘talk’ with them didn’t go very well. In fact, you never even got to tell them the remembered stories of the relics you found. Disney Dreamlight Valley Villagers are counting on you. You need to convince The Forgotten to stop trying to destroy everything.

Where are you? You entered the Dark Castle and confronted The Forgotten. A Battle of magic ensued. As the light and dark magics collided there was a flash of bright light. And now you are here, surrounded by blackness.

Quest Task: Walk towards the light.

A dim light in the distance beckons you forward. When you reach it, you see that the light is illuminating a very small area containing an empty sandbox. Standing just on the edge of the light ring, is The Forgotten.

The sandbox in front of you is familiar to both you and The Forgotten. It appears you’ve been transported to a time and place of shared memories.

Quest Task: Talk to the Forgotten near the sandbox.

As the Forgotten stares at the sandbox, they comment that something is missing. You must agree. With a little Dreamlight Magic the sandbox changes. It now looks just like it did when you were young.

The Forgotten recalls the carefree times of childhood. Those were good and happy times.

The light around the sandbox fades and another spot of light appears in the darkness. Head toward it with The Forgotten.

This light is highlighting a single bed, neatly made, but with nothing to adorn it. It’s your childhood bed.

The Forgotten wants you to fix this vision or whatever it is, too. The bed is too bare. There used to be more things on it.

In seconds your Dreamlight Magic transforms the bed. The remembered blanket and toys of your childhood once again clutter the covers.

That’s more like it. The Forgotten remembers how safe things felt under that blanket all snuggled up with your stuffed toys.

Another light appears in the darkness. There is still more to see. The Forgotten seems anxious to continue on this stroll down memory lane. It’s definitely progress!

The next light takes you to your desk. Only a schoolbook and pencil sit on top.

This desk is a symbol of how things changed as you started to grow up. You and The Forgotten were torn between needing to do homework and wanting to play. This was a time when The Forgotten started to feel… forgotten.

Applying your Dreamlight Magic to the desk causes it to once again become the desk of childhood. This was a place of fun and creativity. The Forgotten remembers all the stories you wrote together and the craft projects you made.

It’s often good to talk things out. Growing up doesn’t mean you can’t still do fun projects together! Contemplating this, The Forgotten heads toward the next light.

A dusty bookshelf appears under the next light. The shelves contain a few books, but it looks nothing like The Forgotten remembers.

Once again Dreamlight Magic does the trick. The bookshelf goes from plain to full of great memories.

The Forgotten remembers all the books that decorated the shelves, the hours spent reading, and the adventures you had. To The Forgotten, these are all things that were left behind when you grew up.

As you examine each shared memory and work through the feelings of past and present, The Forgotten starts to understand. Growing up doesn’t mean all these happy memories and fun times need to stop.

Joy and excitement, that sense of awe when seeing new things, these are all feelings you can share again. Love, friendship, acts of caring, all the things you loved about being a kid, they are waiting to be enjoyed in Dreamlight Valley.

The Forgotten is ready to try again.

With that thought, you find yourselves back in the Dark Castle.

Before you can return to Dreamlight Valley, there is still one major issue that needs to be taken care of. A spell is in process in the Dark Castle that neither of you can stop alone.

It’s time to join forces.

Your combined magic is very powerful. Focusing that magical beam on The Rips In Reality does the trick. The rips are mending!

The Crisis is over!

The Sky Clears

As the sky returns to normal, you and The Forgotten return to Dreamlight Valley. In true Dreamlight Valley fashion, everyone gathers at the Plaza Well to sincerely welcome both of you home!

As this specific storyline comes to an end (or almost an end), the credits roll! Don’t be fooled though, this is not the end of the game. There are a lot more adventures to be had and a little surprise at the end of the credits.
