Merlin is conducting a study of magic in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In the process, he’s going to teach you a little more about your own magic. This sounds interesting. Merlin’s studies usually have some helpful and magical results. It’s going to be interesting to find out what new enchantment comes from this one.

Dream Shards
Merlin wants to do an analysis of the magic in Dreamlight Valley and would like your assistance. Before he gets started, however, he gives you a few pointers on how to hone your own magic skills. This is going to be fun!
Quest Task: Gather Dream Shards – 10.

Crafting Magic
Dream Shards are interesting things. You dig them up from time to time and also collect them when you remove Night Thorns. It appears they can be crafted into Dreamlight and also used in other crafting recipes. Who knew!
Quest Task: Craft a Dreamlight using Dream Shards.
Quest Task: Return to Merlin.

The Study Continues
Fascinated by the Dreamlight you crafted, Merlin mind whirls. To understand more about the Night Thorns that sprout in Dreamlight Valley, Merlin wants to study the Valley Flora.
He asks you to bring him some fruit and flowers, next. They are all close by, so you make quick work of gathering what he needs.
Quest Task: Gather some items for Merlin:
- Dandelion – 4
- White Daisy – 4
- Apple – 6
- Banana – 6

Aha, The True Purpose
With the selection of items you gathered, Merlin weaves an enchantment for your watering can. It seems, this is the main purpose behind Merlin’s latest magical study. It will be fascinating to see what this new enchantment does!
Quest Task: Follow Merlin to the Mushrooms in the Meadow near the entrance to the Glade of Trust.

Removing Mushrooms
Merlin really doesn’t like the large mushrooms that are growing in the Valley, it turns out. Your enchanted Royal Watering Can makes quick work of dissolving them, to Merlin’s joy.
Unfortunately for Merlin, but fortunately for the other Mushrooms, this is just a test. Still, it is a very successful one. At this point, the enchantment is temporary, but that won’t stop Merlin. He really, really hates those Mushrooms. He’s already trying to work out how to make a permanent version of the enchantment.
Look out large Mushrooms. Your control of Dreamlight Valley’s landscape is almost over!!
