Falling Pedestals

It’s a perfectly nice day in Disney Dreamlight Valley, when suddenly a large pedestal drops from the sky. Luckily, it doesn’t land on your head. It turns out, the pedestal is actually a Hologram Station connecting you to Eternity Isle. It activates as you approach. Jafar, or rather his hologram, stands before you and he needs your help. Eternity Isle is in danger.

Jafar’s Message

Holographic Jafar has dropped into Dreamlight Valley, literally. He’s been on Eternity Isle since the Forgetting began and has created a fairly large problem. Jafar was experimenting with things he shouldn’t have been and has put Dreamlight Valley and Eternity Isle in danger. Well, according to Jafar, he’s actually put all of time and space in danger, so he’s sending out an SOS. He needs you to come to Eternity Isle and fix things.

Merlin Holds the Key

Getting to Eternity Isle is the first order of business. Jafar sends you to Merlin to sort out the travel arrangements.

Merlin does indeed hold the key for passage to Eternity Isle, figuratively and literally. As you complete Merlin’s Quest, The Port of Many Worlds, the way becomes clear.

Ports to Other Worlds

Whoever thought such an awesome place existed on the other side of Dream Castle. The possibilities of more adventures are fantastic! However, first things first, you need to fix the problem at Eternity Isle.

Adventure Awaits

Transportation to Eternity Isle is waiting for you as you near the Eternity Isle dock in the Stardust Port. It looks like you get to steer too. What fun! Time to jump on board and head out. A whole new world awaits!

Eternity Isle

It doesn’t take long before you arrive at The Docks in Ancient’s Landing on Eternity Isle. What a fascinating and beautiful place.

Here too, you find boarded up buildings and an eerily empty area that looks like it once was a bustling marketplace. And there are monkeys! It appears, there is lots of work to be done. Best check in with Jafar before you get too carried away with other tasks.

Quest Task: Welcome to Eternity Isle.

  • Find the Hologram Station that will allow you to speak to Jafar.

Pro Tip: Eternity Isle is very large. It contains 3 large areas or regions, each made up of multiple smaller locations. For help in finding your way around this new land, see our guide, Navigating Eternity Isle.

Splinters of Fate

As you wonder around The Docks, you come across a lot of neat crystals jutting out of the ground. They’re really pretty but are also blocking your ability to move forward. Jafar calls them “Splinters of Fate”. A little Dreamlight Magic and they mend or dissolve, just like the Night Thorns did in Dreamlight Valley.

Pro Tip: Splinters of Fate often leave behind “Mist”. This is a new currency that is exclusive to Eternity Isle. Collecting Mist is going to be important as your adventure progresses. See our guides, Ultimate Guide to Disney Dreamlight Valley Currency and Gathering Mist – Eternity Isle Currency.

Clearing the Path

As your path clears, you find the tightly closed Ancient Gate and another Hologram Station. That’s very convenient as you need to talk to Jafar again.

Oh yes, and you also find a house that you can use as a home base. Wonderful. It even comes stocked, just like your home in Dreamlight Valley! But I digress.

Contact Jafar at the Hologram Station. He will, hopefully, know how to open the gate!

Quest Task: Reach the Ancient Gate that leads deeper into Eternity Isle.

  • Clear away the Splinters of Fate by approaching them and pressing “x” (PS) / “a” (Switch).

Pieces of the Sphere

The Ancient Gate is opened with an Ancient Sphere. Unfortunately, the Ancient Sphere is broken, and the pieces are scattered around The Docks. A good excuse, I mean reason, to continue looking around the area. There are all sorts of interesting things to pick up.

There is also a boarded-up building and broken-down stall for you to check out. See Scrooge’s quest, New Ventures (and Adventures), and Goofy’s quest Give me a Sign, respectively, for more information.

Sphere Repairs

Before you know it, you’ve found both pieces of the Ancient Sphere. Your crafting skills will once again come in handy. There is a nice crafting station, next to the house near the Ancient Gate, that you are about to put to good use.

Opening the Ancient Gate

The Ancient Sphere, now repaired, glows when it’s placed in the receptable near the Ancient Gate. The Ancient Gate swings wide, allowing you entrance to The Courtyard, a new section of Ancient’s Landing.

Deeper into the Unknown

Passing through the Ancient Gate and traversing up the stairs, you enter The Courtyard. Another boarded-up building stands at one side of the open space. This one looks an awful lot like Remy’s restaurant. See Remy’s Quest, Ancient’s Landing Fine Dining, for details.

The Courtyard

Directly in front of you, as you enter The Courtyard, is a broken bridge and another Hologram Station. Talking to Jafar at the Hologram Station, he finally confesses to what he did to cause the rift in time that is threatening to destroy everything. Okay, he doesn’t exactly admit it’s his fault, but… Well, you’ll just have to judge for yourself.

Quest Task: Meet Jafar by the broken bridge in the Courtyard area.

Upgraded Pickaxe

The way forward is over the broken bridge. To repair the bridge, you’ll need a new tool, known as the Royal Hourglass. This tool is being fiercely protected. In order to even get close to it, you’ll need to be able to remove the Copper Rock piles that are blocking the way.

It just so happens Jafar can help with this by upgrading your pickaxe. Super! It’s now strong enough to at least get rid of the little piles of Copper Rocks. That will do for now. Check it out. Go break some Copper Rocks and see where it leads you!
