You have met Maleficent in her castle in the Beanstalk Marshes and helped her restore order there. Hades is back in his home on Mount Olympus. But the feud still rages between the two!

You need to come up with something, but what is the question. A little, or perhaps a lot, of advice is needed. Hopefully the Lorekeeper has some ideas.

Quest Task: Hades and Maleficent refuse to make peace.

The Lorekeeper is feeling much better. Her pages are returning to their original crisp state, so she can tell that you are making progress. But alas, peace has not yet been restored in the Storybook Vale.

You did learn something interesting during your adventures, however. Remember the Dark Snippets? They are pages Maleficent and Hades stole from the Lorekeeper.

Telling the Lorekeeper about the Dark Snippets triggers her memory. There was a story about Maleficent that she ripped out of the Lorekeeper. Hades did the same with a story about himself. Strange. Their anger must have turned the Snippets dark.

Perhaps if you return the Dark Snippets to the Lorekeepers pages you’ll have a better idea of what to do next.

Talk to the Lorekeeper again, this time selecting the dialog option to reorder her pages.

When she presents you with story options, a new puzzle appears in the list. It is “The Spark of Spite”. Notice that the dark Snippets are needed to reorder this puzzle.

Select The Spark of Spite Tale and enjoy the puzzle. This one is a 5-Star puzzle, which means it has a lot more pieces. Are you up to the challenge?

With the story restored, you get a better glimpse into what is making Maleficent and Hades so angry.

The story shows the time when Maleficent was not invited to the celebration of Aurora’s birth. For Hades, it shows the celebration of Hercules’ birth. In Hades case, he was invited but felt he wasn’t really wanted there. And then to top it off, the Forgetting caused Merlin to forget to invite them to an important Dreamlight Valley event.

Obviously, this feeling of rejection has been festering for quite a while with both of them. A long awaited invitation to an event where they are wanted and included has just never come.

An idea sparks. What if you extend a long awaited invitation to Hades and Maleficent.

You need to figure out a way to stop the Neverafter. Maleficent and Hades are a critical part of that endeavor. Perhaps it is time for you and the Lorekeeper to pull together a group to address the issue. The group will be the Neverafter Council, with Maleficent and Hades being the most important of the members!

Special invitations need to be sent! These long awaited invitations are going to emphasis how important each of them is to the success of the new Council’s mission!

Time to get to work.

Pro Tip: To improve your chances of getting Fairy Bubbles or simply to get more items when digging, craft Miracle Shovel Varnish or Even More Miraculous Shovel Varnish. To increase the items you dig up even more, hang out with a Villager who has the Digging Role!

Head to your favorite crafting station to make the invitations. These invitations need to be tailored to each of the recipients.

This special touch will hopefully make Maleficent and Hades feel even more important.

Quest Task: Craft the Neverafter Council Invitations – 2.

Take the invitations to Maleficent and Hades. It takes some convincing, but you finally get both of them to agree to become part of the council.

Quest Task: Invite the villainous pair to the gathering.

• Deliver the invitation to Maleficent in her castle
• Make sure Maleficent’s invitation is in your Inventory
• Deliver the invitation to Hades
• Make sure Hades invitation is in your Inventory

Everyone assembles in The Library of Lore for the Neverafter Council.

Talk to the Lorekeeper to start the meeting. As Maleficent and Hades talk, the rift between them starts to mend. The rip in the mural behind the Lorekeeper starts to seal.

Quest Task: Talk to the Lorekeeper when you’re ready to start the meeting.

Quest Task: Watch as the Mistress of All Evil and Lord of the Underworld finally meet.

As the conversation about the Neverafter draws to a close, and the mural rip mends, magic starts to surround Maleficent. Suddenly, in a flash of magic light, Maleficent vanishes!

What just happened?

Hades is concerned. The way Maleficent vanished was very strange. Is he next? There must be something that can be done before that happens!

Hades wants your help in figuring out what became of Maleficent. It would be good to find out where Aurora is as well.

The two of you have a new mystery to unravel and no time to spare.
