A Reminder in Stone

Mushu has returned to Disney Dreamlight Valley and has quickly taken up his old role as Dreamlight Valley Guardian. But he has a niggling worry. The Forgetting had him forgetting his Guardian Role and he doesn’t want that to happen again. He needs something to help him remember. You could create a reminder in stone. That’s sure to do the trick!

A Reminder

Mushu has returned to Disney Dreamlight Valley and as is typical of new Villagers, his memories are starting to return. While he was in Dreamlight Valley, Mushu was not just Mulan’s Guardian, but the whole Valley’s!

Now he’s worried he might forget his role again. And what sort of Guardian forgets that he is a Guardian!!

Mushu seeks your help to create a reminder in stone that can stand tall and remind him of who and what he is, should he ever need to remember again!

Return to the Realm

Before you start the project, Mushu wants to make sure he gets rid of his bad luck, the bad luck that caused him to forget he was a Guardian of the Valley.

But there is a problem. His pal Cri-Kee is not in the Valley and just now, Mushu needs a Lucky Bug!

There are some Lucky Bugs in the Mulan Realm. So, your first task in helping to build a Guardian’s reminder in stone is to go back there and catch a few Lucky Bugs!

Chasing Lucky Bugs

Head back to the third floor of Dream Castle and return to Mulan’s realm. (Or use the quick travel option “Y” in the Map Menu and select Realms > Mulan Realm).

Once you arrive, you’ll see the Lucky Bugs scurrying around in… triangles. Snatch up three of them, tucking them safely in your Inventory backpack, and head back to Dreamlight Valley.

Quest Task: Chase and catch three Lucky Bugs in:

  • Southern Field
  • Training Camp
  • Eastern Forest

Quest Task: Make sure you have the Lucky Bugs in your Inventory – 3.

Pro Tip: The bugs all run in a triangle pattern over the same path. You can stand and wait for them to come to you.

Lucky Bug Delivery

Hand the Lucky Bugs to Mushu.

He’s convinced they are the luckiest bugs he’s ever seen!

Incense for the Valley

Mushu now turns his focus to his reminder in stone. He wants to find the perfect spot in the Valley to put it.

To help the process along, and make the Valley smell nice, he hands you an Incense Lantern, requesting that you carry it while scouting for a good spot. It will help spread good vibes throughout the Valley.

The Incense Lantern can be found in your Wardrobe Inventory.

Scouting

Walk around the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow and Dazzle Beach, in any order, carrying the Incense Lantern.

When you’ve traversed through all three, find Mushu and select where you want to place his Reminder in Stone. The choice is entirely up to you, although it does need to be in one of the three Biomes we just discussed, for now.

Quest Task: Scout different Biomes with your Incense Lantern.

  • Plaza
  • Peaceful Meadow
  • Dazzle Beach

Quest Task: Talk to Mushu.

Pro Tip: Although you need to build the statue in one of the suggested Biomes, once it’s finished, you can move it anywhere you like.

Crafting a Great Stone Dragon

Mushu’s Reminder in Stone is going to be a Great Stone Dragon Statue. It will be made of softwood and stones.

Gather the materials you need and head to your favorite crafting station.

  • Softwood:
    • Found lying on the ground in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor.
    • Also obtained by digging up tree stumps in the Forest of Valor
  • Stones:
    • Found, randomly, when mining.
    • Purchase at Kristoff’s Stall for 2 Star Coin each, with a max purchase of 20 per day. However, they only show up periodically on his shelves.

Once you have enough materials, head to a nearby crafting station to build the Great Stone Dragon Statue. The crafting recipe is found under Furniture.

Quest Task: Gather materials to construct the Great Stone Dragon Statue.

  • Softwood – 25
  • Stones – 40

Lighting the Statue

Next up is lighting for the Statue. Mushu wants you to light the statue together. He can use his fire, but you’ll need flint to light the torches.

It just so happens, there are some rocks on Dazzle Beach that have flint imbedded in them. Your Royal Pickaxe makes quick work of breaking the rocks so you can get to the flint within.
