The Portal
The Fairy Tale Trial in the Wild Woods awaits. Step through the portal.
The portal leads to the inside of a castle. This must be one of the sections of Maleficent’s castle that broke off when her spell went awry.
Take a look around. Don’t miss the chest directly to your left as you take your first steps into the room.

Growling Behind the Door
There is a large door directly ahead as you enter the room. And, oddly enough, there seems to be growling, of sorts, coming from the other side.
Actually, it sounds more like someone “trying” to make growling sounds, with mixed results. Go closer and investigate.

The Wolf of the Wilds
Enjoy the humorous conversation with the Wolf of the Wilds.
It’s pretty obvious that this is not an ordinary wolf. And the “Wolf” seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis of his own.
It might help if you can prove to him that he really isn’t a wolf. Maybe then he’ll be able to open the door and come out!
Quest Task: Prove the Wolf of the Wilds isn’t really a wolf by searching the Trial for evidence to disprove:
- What big feet he has
- What a wolfish smell he has
- What a fierce howl he has

Big Feet
The “Wolf” presented three wolfly attributes he has, that you must now disprove. They can be approached in any order, but let’s start with the “big feet”.
Head to the left side of the room when facing the Wolf’s closed door. You’ll see a horizontal wheel. Use your Royal Net to spin the wheel to open the door next to it.
Head through the now open door.

Big Feet Wardrobe Puzzle
As you enter the next room, there is a large floor to ceiling wardrobe against the wall. It appears to have a combination lock, made up of 4 wheels.
The “Wolf” left drawings on the walls to help him remember the combination.
Circle the room clockwise.
- The symbols you need for position I and III of the combination are on the outside walls.
- II is on the back of the pillar in the center of the room
- Remove the big rock piles on the left side of the room to uncover the symbol for IV
Turn the combination squares on the wardrobe by interacting with them. Each time you “interact” the square will move 1 turn. Continue “interacting” with all the combination squares until each one matches the picture associated with its’ number, and the “wardrobe” will open.
Out pops a pair of Wolfish Slippers!
Well, it looks like you may really have a sheep in wolf’s clothing…literally!
Quick Answer – The Wardrobe Combination Solution:
- I-Lion Head
- II-Castle Tower
- III-Dragon
- IV-Star in Circle
Pro Tip: Don’t miss the chest on the left side of the room

Wolfish Smell
Next let’s debunk the “wolfish smell”.
There is another door with a wheel lever. This one is on the right side of the room. The vertical wheel lever that controls it is up a short flight of stairs to the left of the door.
Use your Royal Net once again to trigger the lock on the door and it will swing open. Head inside.
Pro Tip: Another chest is hidden behind large mushrooms, which likely can’t be removed at this time. Don’t forget to come back for the chest, however, once you have the ability to get rid of the glowing mushrooms!

Cooking Puzzle
There is a raised section in the room you just entered. A recipe, or rather clues to a recipe, sits on a pedestal next to a cooking station. Ingredients are laid out on the two tables along the wall.
You’ve found how the “Wolf” is able to have a Wolfish Smell. Now you just have to decipher the recipe and make a batch of Wolfish Musk to prove your point.

Fierce Howl
Only one part of the “Wolf’s” riddle is left to debunk. He has been making a lot of racket in the Wild Woods. You need to find out where that fierce and noisy howl is coming from. Once you do, it is sure to prove that the “Wolf” is indeed, really only a sheep in wolf’s clothing.
There is one more door in the center chamber that you have not checked out. It’s on that same side of the chamber as the door leading to the cooking station. A strange square is on the floor just in front of the door and a pedestal containing a clue stands to the right of the square.
Incidentally, there is also a picture above the door indicating what you are looking for.
Pull out your Royal Shovel and dig in the square, several times. With each shovel stroke something different will appear in the square.
A Sub-Quest “Not By The Hair On My Chinny Chin Chin” triggers as soon as you get a Castle Tower picture. The Sub-Quest will need to be completed before this quest can continue beyond this point.

Present the Evidence
Now that you have proof that the “Wolf” is not a wolf at all but simply a sheep in wolf’s clothing, so to speak, head back to the large door.
Share your finding. When you do, the curse on the “Wolf” is broken! The door swings open to reveal…Flynn!!
Quest Task: Bring the evidence to the door.
Quest Task: Talk to Flynn.

The Corruption
After filling you in on what Flynn remembers of his situation, he leads you deeper into this section of the castle.
There is a large bud oozing with Ink that appears to be the source of the corruption in this piece of the castle. Use your magic on it, by interacting with it. When you do, the ink dissolves. At the same time, you and Flynn are transported out of the Fairy Tale Trial.
Quest Task: Interact with the source of the corruption inside the Fairy Tale Trial.

Welcome Back
Flynn is very glad Maleficent’s curse if finally broken. Even if he was only a sheep in wolf’s clothing, he sure felt like a wolf. It may take some adjusting before he feels completely normal again.
In the meantime, he is ready and willing to help you fight the Neverafter in any way he can.
