You are only mining for 5 oval gems in this phase of the scavenger hunt. Here are the gems that are considered “oval” and their locations.

Garnet: Peaceful Meadow & Plaza in Dreamlight Valley, The Plains & The Wastes on Eternity Isle.

Aquamarine: Dazzle Beach & Forest of Valor in Dreamlight Valley.

Peridot: Peaceful Meadow & Dazzle Beach in Dreamlight Valley, The Grasslands & Promenade on Eternity Isle.

Tourmaline: Sunlit Plateau & Frosted Heights in Dreamlight Valley.

Blue Zircon: The Lagoon on Eternity Isle.

After you’ve gathered the 5 oval gems, show them to Scrooge. Shortly after that, he’s off to prepare the next phase of the scavenger hunt. All you need to do is…wait.
