How to Complete Dreamlight Parks Fest Village Duties

Scrooge introduced Dreamlight Parks Fest to Villagers and Gamers on May 28, 2024, with quests, cupcakes and popcorn buckets! It has since become an annual event. In 2025, quite a few new Village Duties were added to the festivities, along with several more Quests (but that’s another blog). We’re here to help you complete all the Dreamlight Parks Fest Village Duties and collect all the great rewards for your efforts!

How to Identify Dreamlight Parks Fest Duties

In 2024, Dreamlight Parks Fest introduced three (3) special event Village Duties for Gamers pleasure. In 2025, seven (7) new Dreamlight Parks Fest Village Duties were added. This gives first time Gamers a total of ten (10) Dreamlight Parks Fest Village Duties to complete.

During the Parks Fest, you can find these Duties in two places: in the Event Menu and in the Dreamlight Menu. Dreamlight Parks Fest Duties can be identified by the Mickey Balloon Icon on the top.

Paths:

  • Event>Dreamlight Parks Fest>Duties
  • Dreamlight>Village

If you don’t complete all of the Village Duties during the Festival timeframe, they will remain in the Village Duties menu. This allows you to complete them at a later date, assuming you have the resources required, or during next year’s Dreamlight Parks Fest.

Dreamlight Parks Fest Buttons

A key activity during the Dreamlight Parks Fest is collecting buttons, which are then used to craft Dreamlight Parks Fest specialty items. You’ll need these items to complete many of the Village Duties.

There are five (5) different types of buttons, and they are found exclusively during the Dreamlight Parks Fest Special Event.

Here is where to find Dreamlight Parks Fest Buttons:

  • Grows in the wild
  • Locations:
    • Plaza (Dreamlight Valley)
    • Peaceful Meadow (Dreamlight Valley)

Blue Button:

An Interesting Fact:

During 2024’s Dreamlight Parks Fest, Gamers were given 5 daily cupcake quests. Each quest required you to deliver 5 cupcakes. So, you could complete this Village Duty in 2 days. In 2025, Gamers get 1 daily quest, so they only need to deliver 5 cupcakes each day.

For those new to the game, this means that completing this Village Duty could take 10 days, if you wait for the quests. But there is no reason you can’t just give out cupcakes without the quest. They still count!

Popcorn Buckets: Furniture vs Handheld

Before we continue with more Village Duties, let’s talk Popcorn Buckets!

In 2024, Gamers have the ability to craft 5 different Popcorn Buckets that can be placed around your Valley using the Furniture Menu. The crafting recipes for these cute furniture items remain after the event ends, allowing you to make more Popcorn Buckets whenever you want.

The 2025 Dreamlight Parks Fest adds 2 more Popcorn Buckets to your crafting station Furniture Menu. You get the crafting recipes when you complete Mirabel’s Dreamlight Parks Fest: Take Your Pic and Scrooge’s Dreamlight Parks Fest: Shinies quests.

New rewards that are introduced as part of the 2025 Dreamlight Parks Fest are “Clothing” handheld versions of the Popcorns Buckets. These Handheld Popcorn Buckets look almost the same as their Furniture equivalents but, once obtained, can be carried around with you. They are found in your Wardrobe Menu under Accessories.

The names of the Handheld Popcorn Buckets are almost the same as their Furniture counterparts. This has added a little bit of confusion to the mix. But, have no fear. We’re about to clear it all up!

So, how do you get the handheld popcorn Buckets. That’s where the new Village Duties come into play.
