Gaston is in need of a new sidekick. He’s decided to try to recruit one of the villagers to take on that role. Since you’re pretty sure he simply needs a new friend, you’re happy to help.

Gaston has a list of Villagers that are potentials for Dreamlight Valley’s Next Top LeFou. He’d like you to find out who might be interested.

You find Donald grumbling about his Uncle Scrooge. After Donald fills you in on his latest frustration with his uncle, you’re able to ask Donald about being Gaston’s sidekick. This might be a great opportunity to show Uncle Scrooge how reliable Donald is.

That did the trick. Donald thinks it’s a great idea. Gaston has one candidate for the role of Dreamlight Valley’s Next Top LeFou.

Stitch is an easy recruit. He loves competitions and since this will be one, he’s ready to join in.

Olaf immediately sees the role of sidekick to Gaston as a great chance to make a new friend. He’s all excited about helping Gaston out and has many interesting facts to share once he does. In fact, Olaf is already planning what he should give Gaston as a friendship gift.

Now this is going to be interesting…

After a great, and quite entertaining, conversation with Vanellope, it becomes very apparent that she has no interest, at all, in being Gaston’s sidekick.

One to check off the list. But it was totally worth asking, just to get her response!

Minnie is happy that Gaston is looking for a new friend, as she’s sure the sidekick will become. Unfortunately, she’s just too busy to help him out. There are just so many other exciting things to do in Dreamlight Valley and Eternity Isle.

Another name crossed off the list.

You have three candidates for Dreamlight Valley’s Next Top LeFou. Head back to Gaston and give him the results.

Gaston asks for a little information on each of the candidates. After some very difficult, for Gaston, thinking, Gaston decides to take Donald off the list. Donald loses his temper a lot and emotions are so inconvenient.

With that, his sidekick candidate list is down to two, Stitch and Olaf.

Time to give them a Gastonian Task and see how they perform!

Quest Task: Talk to Gaston.

Stitch’s task in the competition to become Gaston’s sidekick, is to make a proper Gastonian breakfast. This, of course, includes a lot of eggs. Gaston even gives you a few egg recipes so that you can share with Stitch the type of dishes he likes.

Stitch doesn’t take long to decide on the breakfast menu. Coffee is a must and the Egg meals Gaston requested. Oh, and Coconut Cake! Gaston has a thing for coconuts and Stitch has a great recipe for coconut cake that you can have.

Stitch asks you to hang out and help him cook. This is going to be fun.

Quest Task: Talk to Stitch.

Quest Task: Make sure Stitch hangs out with you to continue the test.

Together you and Stitch whip up a large Gaston’s Breakfast.

You already have the recipes for three of the five dishes. The two remaining meals are very simple. Coffee only requires a coffee bean and Hard-Boiled Eggs, take only eggs.

A little while later, all the meals are prepared, and Stitch is off to deliver them.

Quest Task: Cook with Stitch watching you.

Olaf’s task in the competition to become Gaston’s sidekick, is to conquer nature. Together you decide that the best way to conquer nature would be to clean up some of the debris that is scattered around the desert.

Since your Royal Tools are needed to remove the debris, you and Olaf hang out and tackle the job together.

Quest Task: Talk to Olaf.

Quest Task: Have Olaf hang out with you to continue the tests.

Olaf decides that conquering nature really means that Gaston wants a nice Bouquet of Flowers.

So, in addition to clearing away stalagmites, removing swirling sands and breaking down Copper rock piles, you and Olaf gather flowers for a pretty bouquet.

Quest Task: Conquer nature with Olaf by removing:

• Glass Stalagmite – 3
• Swirling Sands – 5
• Copper Rocks – 5
• Pick up any flowers from Eternity Isle – 5

Pro Tip: Complete the following quests to upgrade your Royal Tools so they can remove the smaller version of the needed items:

• Glass Stalagmite: Village Project: Timeless Trash – Merlin Quest
• Swirling Sands: The Flying Metal Nuisance – Jafar Quest
• Copper Rocks: The Secrets of Eternity Isle – Jafar Quest

To remove the large versions of all three, complete: Village Project: Timeless Tools – Merlin Quest.

With all the debris cleared, and the flowers gathered, Olaf heads off to report back to Gaston.

Quest Task: Make sure you have flowers in your Inventory – 5.

Quest Task: Bring the flowers to Olaf.

With Olaf off to talk to Gaston, you have a little time on your hands. Best take advantage of the lull and take care of a few daily Dreamlight or Mist Duties of your own.

Quest Task: Perform some Dreamlight Duties while Olaf reports to Gaston – 3

Pro Tip: Mist Duties qualify as Dreamlight Duties for this task.

Gaston is not terribly impressed by the results of the competition. Still, both candidates have potential. He decides to give them one more test.

Gaston decides to have a party and see how his potential sidekicks do at “extolling his virtues”.

He’ll need the appropriate setting for the party, of course, and guess who gets to make that happen.

Quest Task: Talk to Gaston.

Quest Task: Gather materials for the Gastonian Appreciation Stage.

• Tropical Wood – 30
• Copper – 5
• Plastic Scrap – 5
• Blue Glass-Like Flowers – 5
• Blue Luminescent Flower – 5

Gather all the items for the Gastonian Appreciation Stage and head to your favorite crafting station.

The Gastonian Appreciation Stage crafting recipe is found in the furniture menu.

Quest Task: Craft the Gastonian Appreciation Stage.

Now you just need to setup the Gastonian Appreciation Stage and the party can begin. The location of the party is completely up to you.

As the party draws to a close, snap a few pictures of the gathering. This is a party you don’t want to forget.

Quest Task: Place the Gastonian Appreciation Stage to start the gathering.

Quest Task: Take a picture of the contestants as the Gastonian Appreciation Party ends.

It was a very successful party, but Gaston is still having trouble deciding between his two candidates. In the end, he decides to have you decide.

So, the winner of Dreamlight Valley’s Next Top Lefou competition and Gaston’s new sidekick is… completely up to you.
