While looking around Dazzle Beach, Moana found a broken boat that she would like to show you. The damage isn’t too extensive, at least not in Moana’s eyes. The frame is good.

To me, ahem, you, the boat looks in pretty tough shape. But Moana knows boats, so if she says it’s not badly damaged, it must be salvageable.

Time to talk repairs.

Softwood, fiber, and pink Hydrangea are going to be needed to fix the boat. The softwood will be very easy to find. It’s lying all over the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow. Pink Hydrangea grow on Dazzle Beach, so those too will be simple to gather.

Fiber, however, will require a little more work. You’ll need to catch some seaweed and take it to the crafting station. Not hard, really. Just a little time consuming if you haven’t been catching seaweed by fishing outside the fishing circles.

Quest Task: Gather the following items to fix the Broken Boat.

• Softwood – 30
• Fiber – 50
• Pink Hydrangea – 3

Pro Tip: You can extract (make) seaweed from red algae using your crafting station, if you happen to get red algae as a random bonus while fishing.

You’re becoming quite good at crafting items using your Crafting Station. Moana needs baskets, ropes, and wooden cases. All can be made with the items you just gathered.

Quest Task: Craft the following items to fix the Broken Boat.

• Ropes – 4

With all the items Moana requested for repairing the boat in hand, you return to Moana on the beach. She’s overjoyed to receive them. With such great materials, it will be easy to fix the boat.

• Basket – 3

It’s Fishing Time!!

Moana loves to fish and does a lot of it. She’s used to fishing for her family’s village and wants to share her catch with the Dreamlight Valley Villagers. Using her newly repaired boat, Moana sets up a small Boat Fish Market.

Looking over the beautifully repaired boat, you see a strange object on the ground. It must have fallen out when Moana was repairing the boat.

• Give the strange object to Moana.

The shard you found seems somehow familiar to Moana, but she doesn’t remember anything about it. She’ll keep it safe and do a little bit of research to see if she can find out anything more about it.
