Catching a Compass

Gaston goes off to fish on his own and you meet up a short while later to compare your hauls.

You have an impressive fish to show Gaston. He, however, doesn’t seem to have caught fish. What he did catch, however, is a piece of a compass.

Along with the compass came a few memories. This compass was rather special. When it was whole, it would lead you to treasure.

Now that’s an activity Gaston can get excited about. You just need to use your Royal Hourglass to find the rest of the compass pieces. Oh, and fix the compass, of course.

So, the search for compass pieces begins.

Quest Task: Show Gaston what you’ve caught.

A Memory

Gaston’s Repaired Compass looks as good as new. Examining it closely you trigger a memory.

  • In other words, look in your Inventory and “use” it. A memory pops up and is added to your Memory category under Collections.

Gaston, The Hero, wants to have you find all the treasure from the memory and then use it to impress Belle.

It takes some work, but you finally get him to agree that the treasures need to be returned to their rightful owners. In fact, you can let Gaston return them. Returning lost treasures is another way for Gaston to be a Hero!

Gaston’s not impressed with what you actually found. Nonetheless, he can still be the Hero and return the items. He can, that is, once you find out who the owners of the items are.

Examining each item gives you some clues to their owners. As you rattle your observations off, Gaston takes notes. Well, he sort of takes notes… Reading them is a bit humorous.
