As you wonder around the Peaceful Meadow, glancing around to ensure that all is in order, you come across a strange glowing object. You can sense the magical energy coming off it! Oddly, it looks like a doorknob. Not just any doorknob either, a Golden Doorknob!

Deciding to leave it alone until you finish your walk, you find that it appears in other places in the Meadow, as well. How very strange!

Curiosity finally wins out and the Golden Doorknob is in your hand. As soon as you pick it up, all the others you saw immediately disappear. Stranger and stranger.

Quest Task: You found a strange artifact glowing with magical energy…

Time to consult Merlin. He recognizes the doorknob immediately and tells you a most interesting tale about a magical house and its’ owner. Merlin believes the appearance of the doorknob is an indication that the House is considering returning to Dreamlight Valley.

Yes, that’s right, the House is considering it. And even more, the House, Mini-Casita, wants to make sure it’s safe to return with its’ occupant Mirabel.

Quest Task: Bring the Doorknob to Merlin.

To show Mini-Casita that it’s safe, Merlin advises you to perform various acts that embody the values of Mirabel’s family. It can be as simple as having a discussion with someone to show them you care. Or give a Villager something that they like or need.

That doesn’t sound so bad. You’re off to do good deeds!

The Villagers also appear to like their picture taken. Perhaps they like the idea of being remembered that way, especially after all the issues with the Forgetting. Or maybe it’s just simply fun.

Quest Task: Take pictures of different Villagers – 3.

Quest Task: Return to Merlin.

Pro Tip: To minimize the running around, you can give a gift, have a discussion and take a picture, all with the same Villager. This will check one of each quest task off your to-do list.

Your acts of kindness have an impact on the golden doorknob. However, there’s still more to do. It appears the Doorknob (or Mini-Casita) needs a little more convincing before it feels safe returning. A little more Dreamlight should do the trick. About 500 Dreamlight to be exact.

You can continue to complete Dreamlight Duties or use what you already have accumulated. When you’re ready, return to Merlin.
