Did you know that there are toys and homes that you can craft for your Critters? These wonderful items let you enjoy having more of your friends milling around Disney Dreamlight Valley. Here is what’s available and how to craft items for your critters!

What to Craft for Critters in Disney Dreamlight Valley

If you like having your Companions milling around or simply want to make toys for them, you have several items that you can make at your crafting station.

A few quests will also have you crafting items for your companions.

We’re here to share with you all the recipes and how to craft them for your Critters in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Crafting Companion Housing

A Home for your Critters is always a nice addition to Dreamlight Valley. The recipe appears automatically, in your crafting station recipe inventory, after you have collected each of the items in the recipe for the first time.

How to make a Cozy Companion Home:

Head to a nearby crafting station.

The Cozy Companion Home recipe is found under Functional Items at your crafting station.

Cozy Companion Home Recipe:

  • Softwood – 15
  • Sunflower – 5
  • White & Red Hydrangea – 5
  • Topaz – 1

You can place the Cozy Companion Home anywhere on Dreamlight Valley or Eternity Isle. Once placed, select up to 5 critters to live there. They will mill around the area for you to enjoy.

How to Make a Tropical Companion Home

If you have purchased the Dreamlight Valley expansion A Rift in Time and completed Rapunzel’s quest The Housewarming, you have another Companion House recipe available at your crafting station.

How to craft a Tropical Companion Home:

Head to a nearby crafting station.

The Tropical Companion Home recipe is found under Functional Items at your crafting station.

Tropical Companion Home Recipe:

  • Tropical Wood- 15
  • Bamboo – 10
  • Spinel – 1
  • Green Glass-Like Flowers – 3

Place the Tropical Companion Home anywhere on Dreamlight Valley or Eternity Isle. Then select up to 5 critters to live there. They can be seen wondering around the Tropical Companion Home.

Crafting Companion Dishes

Now that your companions have homes, how about making dishes for their food.

These recipes are also found under Functional Items at your crafting station. Here is what you need to craft them:

Flying Companion Feeder Recipe:

  • Softwood – 5
  • Clay – 5
  • Wheat – 5
  • Red Bell Flower – 2

Fuzzy Friend Companion Dish Recipe:

  • Clay – 5
  • Wheat – 5
  • Red Bell Flower – 2

Crafting Companion Toys

The crafting station also has a couple of toy recipes to keep your Critter Companions entertained. Just like the homes and dishes, the Companion Toy recipes are found under Functional Items at your crafting station.

We’ve listed the recipes below:

Pixar Companion Ball Recipe:

  • Red Bell Flower – 3
  • Yellow Daisy – 5
  • Blue Hydrangea – 5

  • Softwood – 5
  • Fiber – 5
  • Pink Hydrangea – 5

Finding the Resources

There is a lot of cross-over in the resources needed to make the various Critter Companion items.

Since you may not have everything in your Inventory, here is a quick reference of where to find all the resources needed to craft items for Critters in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Finding Flowers and Vegetables

You need a nice variety of Flowers and a couple vegetables for the crafting recipes. All the flowers and one of the vegetables grow in the wild. The remaining vegetable will need to be purchased or grown.

Here is where to find the flowers and vegetables:

Red Bell Flower

  • Forest of Valor (Dreamlight Valley)

Yellow Daisy

  • Peaceful Meadow (Dreamlight Valley)

Green Glass-Like Flowers

  • The Plains of Glittering Dunes (Eternity Isle)
  • The Wastes of Glittering Dunes (Eternity Isle)

Hydrangea (All colors)

  • Dazzle Beach (Dreamlight Valley)

Sunflower

  • Dazzle Beach (Dreamlight Valley)

Bamboo:

  • Grows in the wild
  • Locations
    • The Grasslands of Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)
    • The Lagoon of Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)
    • The Grove of Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)
    • The Promenade of Wild Tangle (Eternity Isle)

Wheat

Finding Everything Else

Mine and do a little cleanup to find the rest of the resources for your crafts for the Critters.

Clay:

  • Purchase at Kristoff’s Stall (appears randomly): 20 Star Coins (Max. 20 a day)
  • Dig up small and large Bone Piles
  • Dig up the ground in these locations:
    • Glade of Trust (Dreamlight Valley)
    • Sunlit Plateau (Dreamlight Valley)
    • Forgotten Lands (Dreamlight Valley)

Fiber:

  • Crafted at a standard Crafting Station out of Seaweed
  • Purchase at Kristoff’s Stall (appears randomly): 6 Star Coins (Max. 20 a day)

Softwood

  • Remove large and small tree stumps
  • Purchase at Kristoff’s Stall (appears randomly): 5 Star Coins (Max.20 a day)
  • Lying on the ground in these locations:
    • Plaza (Dreamlight Valley)
    • Peaceful Meadow (Dreamlight Valley)
    • Forest of Valor (Dreamlight Valley)
    • Glade of Trust (Dreamlight Valley)
    • The Docks of Ancient’s Landing (Eternity Isle)

A Day at Disney Star Path Duty #29

If you haven’t built some of the Companion toys or houses, you will get the opportunity during A Day at Disney Star Path when you reach Star Path Duty 29.

A Day at Disney Star Path Duty # 29 is Craft something for your critter.

The Opening of Eternity Isle

The search for resources, for some of the Critter Crafts, takes you to Eternity Isle. If you haven’t opened all the areas you need, here is a complete list of the quests and Mist amounts needed to do just that.

Quests needed to enter the Courtyard and cross the bridge to Glittering Dunes and Wild Tangle:

While you have immediate access to The Plains of Glittering Dunes and The Grasslands of Wild Tangle once you cross over the bridge from The Courtyard, all the other areas in Glittering Dunes and Wild Tangle require Mist to open. Here’s how much.

  • The Wastes (Glittering Dune) – 4000 Mist
  • The Overlook (Ancient’s Landing) – 6000 Mist
  • The Ruins, access through The Overlook (Ancient’s Landing) – 6000 Mist
  • The Promenade (Wild Tangle) – 6000 Mist
  • The Grove (Wild Tangle) – 4000 Mist
  • The Lagoon, accessed through The Grove (Wild Tangle) – 10,000 Mist
