The Night Thorns blocking the entrance to Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Dream Castle are gone, thanks to you. Upon entering the Castle, an amazing sight lies before you. A beautiful staircase extends up multiple stories and there are doors everywhere. Lots and lots of doors. Merlin has hinted about what’s behind Door Number 1, 2 and 3. You’ve selected Door Number 3.

Ok, the doors don’t really have numbers, I just couldn’t help it. It just begged to be said!

This Quest centers around Remy’s restaurant, no surprise there. As such, there is a lot of cooking. Remy isn’t very forthcoming with the complete recipes he wants you to make. If you enjoy the experimentation and puzzle, don’t read the Cooking Pro Tips scattered throughout this post. General Pro Tips, however, are worth checking out.

Pro Tip: Before stepping through the door, make room in your backpack or you’ll be dropping a lot of stuff on the floor. Free up at least a row.

Pro Tip: You can’t take anything back to the Dreamlight Valley with you, so don’t bother picking up extras from Remy’s stocked kitchen.

Stepping through the door, you’re transported to Remy’s Restaurant in Paris and Remy is in quite a state. You arrived on a very important night at the restaurant. There’s a critic waiting to be served and Remy appears to be a bit short staffed. It doesn’t take him long to put you to work.

Quest Task: Explore the Ratatouille Realm.

It appears you have to start at the bottom. Remy puts you to work washing dishes! Typical. The least fun job in the restaurant. Lucky for you, you have a neat trick up your sleeve, or actually in your hand. A magical Royal Watering Can. In short order, the dishes are clean and you’re ready for your next assignment.

Quest Task: Use your Watering Can to wash the Dirty Dishes – 3.

Quest Task: Return to Remy and tell him the dishes are clean.

After ensuring the dishes are clean, Remy is ready to have you try your hand at preparing a dish. His first assignment it to make something with fish. He has all the ingredients you’ll need in his kitchen. Check out the various ingredient stations throughout the room to find what you want.

Quest Task: Find a Fish in Remy’s kitchen and prepare any meal using it.

Quest Task: Show Remy what you made.

Cooking Pro Tip: Any fish with any vegetable creates a Grilled Fish Entree.

You’ve passed the initial cooking test, but Remy wants to see if it was just luck or if you can do it again. He continues to keep it simple. This time, he’d like you to prepare a dish with fruit. This one is going to be easy.

Quest Task: Find a Fruit in Remy’s kitchen and prepare any meal using it.

Quest Task: Show Remy what recipe you prepared using Fruit.

Cooking Pro Tip: Any single fruit makes a Fruit Salad.

While Remy doesn’t always give you the full recipes, he does try to help. In his own way, that is. You just need to pay close attention.

Pro Tip: Remy gestures when cooking. This is his way of giving you some indication on whether everything you’ve selected so far, if cooked, will make a meal. He’s reacting to the full list of selected ingredients, not each individual ingredient that you add.

Here’s an example.

• Select eggs and you’ll get a cheer or check of the aroma from Remy. This is because, when cooked, an egg makes hard-boiled eggs.
• Add milk and Remy will give you a head shake. The combination of eggs and milk doesn’t make anything.
• Now, add a third item, say cheese, and Remy will once again cheer or give some positive sign. That’s because eggs, milk and cheese make an omelet. You get the idea.

Remy’s ready to let you try your hand at cooking something more complicated. You get to choose between 2 appetizers, a Hearty Salad or Bell Pepper Puffs. This time he gives you the full list of ingredients.

• Bell Pepper Puffs: Bell Pepper, Cheese, and Egg
• Hearty Salad: Any Vegetable (x2) and Lettuce

Quest Task: Prepare Bell Pepper Puffs (or Hearty Salad) using ingredients from Remy’s kitchen.

Quest Task: Bring Remy the Appetizer you cooked.

In the same fashion, Remy asks you to make the main course. You can choose to make either a Vegetable Casserole or a Pizza Margherita. The base recipe, for whichever you chose, can be found in a recipe book lying somewhere in the kitchen.

Quest Task: Find the Cookbook in Remy’s Kitchen – 1.

The base recipe you found needs a little tweaking. Listen carefully to the dialog, as Remy tells you what to add to make it into the final meal. Or, I suppose, you could also read the quest task.

• Basic Pizza: Wheat, Tomato & Cheese
• Basic Casserole: Any Vegetable (x2), Cheese

Quest Task: Improve the basic Pizza (or Casserole) recipe from the book that Remy gave you by adding some spices or herbs.

Quest Task: Bring the main course you created to Remy.

Now for dessert. Your two options are Banana Pie or Apple Pie. Remy gives you a small clue on what makes a good pie, but other than that, you’re on your own.

Quest Task: Prepare a Banana (or Apple) Pie using the ingredients in Remy’s kitchen.

Quest Task: Present Remy with your version of the desert.

Cooking Pro Tip: Ingredients for a Pie are Butter, Wheat, and either a Banana or an Apple

You’re not done yet. There are more orders to be filled. The next meal you get to prepare is a Ranch Salad. Luckily, the recipe is provided: Lettuce, Tomatoes, Corn, Bell Peppers and Onions.

Once the meal is done, you need to place it in the Serving Hatch next to the kitchen door.

Quest Task: Order up! Cook 1 Ranch Salad and place it on the Serving Hatch.

You’ve obviously passed the test. Remy is entrusting you to make the main course for the Food Critic. The Food Critic wants the famous Ratatouille. Remy is so busy he only gives you part of the recipe. You’ll just have to figure out the rest.

Quest Task: Remy wants to talk to you. Go see him.

Quest Task: Prepare and serve the food critic an order of Ratatouille.

Cooking Pro Tip: Tomato, Eggplant, Zucchini, Onion, Any Herb are the ingredients for Ratatouille.

The kitchen activity is dying down. It’s time to work on convincing Remy to come back to Dreamlight Valley. Dangling the idea of opening a new restaurant seems to strike the right chord and Remy agrees, with one condition. You need to provide him with a house, separate from the restaurant, in Dreamlight Valley.

Quest Task: Talk to Remy.

Return to the Valley to find a great place to put a house for Remy. The actual location and Biome you place it in, is up to you.

Once the spot is staked out, Scrooge’s construction firm will put up the building. For a fee, of course. Just …2000 Star Coins. Yikes!

Quest Task: Remy needs a real pied-a-terre.

• Use the Scrooge McDuck sign to pay for the construction of Remy’s House.

Hmm. Did you know that Pied-a-terre is French for “foot on the ground” and refers to a secondary living space, such as an apartment or condominium, which is smaller than your primary resident. Smaller huh?! Once you see his Disney Dreamlight Valley house, it really makes you wonder what Remy’s Paris home looks like!
