The Elysian Fields

The Biomes that make up Mythopia are located on the east side of Storybook Vale. Entrance to the first Biome, The Elysian Fields requires 2000 Story Magic. It’s time to venture forth and see what this land of myths and legends in Storybook Vale has to offer!

Quest Task: You’ve cleared away the ink! The first part of Mythopia is yours to discover.

A Familiar Gazebo

It probably is not surprising to find a gazebo brimming surrounded by inkies in the Elysian Fields. However, this is a land of myths and legends, not Fairy Tales. It may be a good idea to talk to the Lorekeeper about your discovery before you get too close.

Quest Task: You’ve found a mysterious gateway, swirling with magical ink, deep in the Elysian Fields.

  • Ask the Lorekeeper about it.

Mythic Trial

According to the Lorekeeper, the gazebo is the entrance to a Mythic Trial. To resolve the conflict between Hades and Maleficent, you will need to complete these Trials as well. But, she warns you not to go alone.

Heading the Lorekeeper’s warning, Merida joins you as you head back into the Elysian Fields to check it out.

Will-o’-the-Wisps?

There are strange white lights floating around the Elysian Fields when you and Merida return. Merida says that they look like Will-o’-the-Wisps, but to find out for sure, you should try to catch one.

These strange wispy things can’t be caught with your Royal Net. Chase after them until you can catch them with your hands.

Looking closely at the strange floating wisps that you caught, it becomes very clear that they are not Will-o’-the-Wisps after all. They appear to be a floating flame of sorts and they are about to come in very handy!

Quest Task: Catch the … Will-o’-the-Wisps? …racing around Elysian Fields.

Entrance to the Mythic Trial

Head over to the entrance to the Mythic Trial. There is a horizontal wheel lever nearby, but your Royal Net has no effect on it! How strange.

The Horizontal Wheel Lever is on a strange track that connects it with two unlit torches, one on either side of it.

Ah, the misty flames now make sense. Perhaps if you use them to light the torches, the torches will provide power to the wheel mechanism. Interact with each Torch and see what happens.

Quest Task: Meet Merida near the entrance to the Trial in the Elysian Fields.

Quest Task: This wheel won’t budge no matter how hard you swing your Royal Net

  • Find a way to power it up. Maybe something to do with the torches…?

Open the Portal

Once the torches are lit, use your Royal Net on the Horizontal Wheel Lever once again.

This time, the wheel turns and the portal to the Mythic Trial appears.

A new quest opens before you, as this one comes to a close.

Quest Task: Use your Royal Net on the wheel to open the Mythic Trial.
