The Lock & Keys hidden quest arguably begins with the discover of the Odd Key in a treasure chest during the Wonders of Wonderland quest. But to understand the location of the Odd Key, you first need to understand the layout of the forest in the Wonderland Realm.

The forest itself takes on a bit of a Lost Woods feel when you first enter it. But fear not, it’s really not that hard to navigate once you learn the landmarks.

You arrive in the Alice in Wonderland Realm near a waterfall. The path here leads only one direction. North into the forest proper.

The main section of the forest is made up of three rows of 3 fairly similar looking circular clearings, each with a pond in the middle. You enter this 3 by 3 wooded area from the south and arrive in the central “circular clearing” of the bottom row. Here are a few key landmarks to help you find your way around easily.

• Stack of books – Bottom Row: Center
• Cheshire Cat – Bottom Row: Left
• Singing Flowers – Middle Row: Center
• Path to Queen’s Maze – Top Row: Right

Enter the main part of the forest from the Waterfall entrance and look to the right. There is a stack of books in the lower right as you step into the circular clearing. A Pencil Bird will be perched on top of the book stack.

Take the path to your left to reach the Cheshire Cat’s tree. It is on the west side of this next clearing.

You are now in the lower left of the 3 by 3 areas in the forest.

Return to the clearing in the Bottom-Center Row. The forest entrance is to your south. Head North to the center clearing of the Middle Row. There will be a group of Singing Flowers at the top left side of the clearing.

Continue North from the Singing Flowers to the Top Row and take the path from there to your right. This will take you to the right side of the forest.

When you first arrive in the forest, there are only two (2) paths out of this Top-Right clearing. One goes to the west, back to the Top-Center of the forest. The other takes you south.

However, at the end of the Wonders of Wonderland Quest, a path will open heading further to the North from this Top-Right clearing. During Alice’s Teeny, Tiny Problem Quest, a Mushroom Spring shortcut will be added on the left side of the entrance to this new path.

As part of the Wonders of Wonderland quest, the Cheshire Cat will task you with finding ingredients for cooking “More Time”. Various items in the forest will turn purple/pink, indicating that they are actually camouflaged treasure chests.

Head to the Top-Left clearing. The purple log on the west side of the clearing contains an Odd Key.

Stay on the left side of the Forest and head to the Left-Center clearing.

A Lock icon is on a large rock on the west side of this clearing. Interact with the rock and select the Odd Key from your backpack Inventory to unlock the Lock. You can then open the secret Rock Chest to find the next key. This one is called the Weird Key.

ProTip: Using the keys to unlock the hidden chests will not automatically open the chests. You need to interact with the Lock a second time to actually open it.

There are two more Lock icons on rocks in the forest. Still, the Weird Key only works on the Lock found in the Center clearing of the Center Row. The rock containing the Lock is directly across the path and to the south of the Singing Flowers.

Interact with the Lock to unlock it. Open the unlocked Rock Chest and move the Strange Key into your backpack Inventory.

The Lock for the Strange Key is found in the right clearing of the Top Row. It’s on a small low rock on the right side of the new path that leads north to the Queen’s Maze.

If you’ve started the Teeny, Tiny Problems Quest, there will be a Mushroom Spring “shortcut” on the left side of the path going North. The rock you need is directly across the path, to the east, of the Mushroom Spring.

Once again, interact with the Lock to unlock it. Open the unlocked Rock Chest and the Peculiar Key is yours for the taking.

To find the remaining Lock & Keys, you must complete The Queen’s Maze quest. That will open all the areas you need to access.

So, off to the Queen’s Maze we go!

To get there, move down the path that leads North from the Strange Key’s Lock. When you reach the Tree Portal, enter it. This transports you to the entrance of the Queen’s Maze.

Before moving further into the Queen’s Maze, notice the Lock on the hedge to the right Tree Portal you just exited. There is a path on the left of the tree, that circles around the back of it. Follow that narrow path to reach the Lock.

Use the Peculiar Key to unlock the hidden Hedge Chest and reach inside to get the Curious Key.

With the Curious Key in your backpack Inventory, head into the Maze and follow it to the left. You are now heading west.

As soon as you can, take a left again to avoid the guard that is directly ahead. This maze path will take you a few steps south and then continue to the west. In a few more steps, you will come to a slight jut in the path, just before you reach the narrow opening at the end.

Stand in front of the narrow opening, without going through it, and look behind you. The next Lock is on the hedge that you just skirted around.

Repeat the process of unlocking it. Then, open the hidden Hedge Chest to reveal the Uncanny Key.

Go through the narrow opening and continue following the path to the north. Go straight until the you reach the north hedge and then follow the path as it turns east.

You will soon arrive at the first Heart Gate. If you’ve completed The Queen’s Maze, the gate will be open. Pass through into the second section of the Queen’s Maze.

Next, make your way through the second section of the Queen’s Maze to the next Heart Gate. The easiest way to do this is to wait until the guard that stands directly in front of you, swings its’ light to the north. Walk to the right and around the bush at his back. Wait for him to move his light to the south again before continuing around the bush.

Pause and observe the next guard. Once again wait for him to swing his light north. This opens the path in front of him allowing you to reach the next Heart Gate.

Pass through the Heart Gate and go straight ahead. There is a secret door in the hedge that shrinks as you approach. Go through the Hedge Door and move to the left to find another shrinking Hedge Door leading north.

You can now easily reach the next Heart Gate, which leads into the last section of the Queen’s Maze.

Just beyond the entrance to the last section of the Queen’s Maze are several guards, whose lights block your passage. However, there is a path on the right that can be accessed when the right guard swings his light away. That is where you want to go!

Follow the right path until you almost reach the next two guards. With the two guards directly in front of you, look to the right. The Lock for the Uncanny Key is on the hedge.

Stay out of range of the right guard’s light and unlock the hedge chest. Open it to find the Bizarre Key. Only two more locks to go!

You now need to get past the guards and reach the Queen’s Tea Party and Croquet Game area. There are a few different approaches that you can take.

One is to try to run between the lights of the guards just to the north of the Uncanny Key Lock. Depending on the timing of the lights, however, this can be tricky.

Another option is to turn left and go through the Heart Shaped opening in the hedge. Continue straight ahead and through the shrinking Hedge Door to a secret area. Pass straight through this area out the second shrinking Hedge Door on the other side. Turning North, you will once again be confronted by Guards with lights, three of them. Oddly enough, it may actually be easier to run between their swinging light to reach the path out of this section of the maze.

Once you’ve passed between either group of guard’s lights, continue moving northward until you reach the path lined by guards. This is the entrance to Queen’s Tea Party and Croquet Game area.

Take the path between the guards and move past the Tea Party table. The next Lock is on the left hedge, near the cages in the back corner.

Once again, use your Bizarre Key to unlock the Hedge Chest and pull out the final Fantastical Key!

ProTip: If the guards are moving their lights in a way that does not let you pass, it is sometimes easier to just get caught in a light. This will place you at the beginning of that section of the Maze. But the next time you reach the guards, they will be moving their lights in a slightly different rhythm, often allowing you to pass between the lights or behind them.
