The Night Thorns covering the Plaza are thick. However, with your magic you’re able to remove enough to forge a path toward the lone figure standing in front of the boarded-up building. It’s Scrooge McDuck! The building is his store and holds most of his attention.

Scrooge relates how the Forgetting impacted his business, causing Villagers to leave or disappear. He can’t even remember where they all went, but with no customers he had no choice but to close his shop.

Scrooge couldn’t bring himself to leave Dreamlight Valley though. He had to stay behind and watch over his shop and of course his money! Then, the Night Thorns surrounded him, and he couldn’t remember anything at all.

With the Night Thorns reduced, Scrooge is starting to recall how Dreamlight Valley used to be. He remembers all the investment opportunities. With sound investments that improve the Village, Dreamlight Valley will prosper.

Scrooge makes a deal with you. If you help him get enough star coins to reopen his shop, he’ll make sure it’s stocked with everything you need to restore Dreamlight Valley.

Located in the Meadow to the South of Scrooge’s store, Goofy’s Stall is also closed. Goofy’s Stall sold produce and gardening seeds. Scrooge suggests you help Goofy reopen his business before you focus on helping Scrooge. Once Goofy’s back in business, Goofy will buy all sorts of things from you. It’s a good way to gain star coins!

Hmm. Help open Goofy’s Stall so you can make star coins. Coincidentally, you’ll need a lot of star coins to help Scrooge reopen. Anyone else see an ulterior motive here?

Tutorial Time: A Sense of Direction

Quest Task: Find Goofy in the Meadow.

Goofy’s Stall is in the Peaceful Meadow. Unfortunately, all entrances are blocked with huge rock formations. You’ll need to find a way to break them before you can find Goofy. It seems like you need to find the Royal Pickaxe that Merlin talked about. Check out: Merlin’s Quest: The Royal Tools.

Once you have the Royal Pickaxe in hand and can move freely into the Peaceful Meadows, your efforts to help Goofy can continue in earnest.

Pro Tip: Don’t let this confuse you. Merlin’s The Royal Tools Quest and Goofy’s Fishing Expedition Quest intentionally overlap with events in this quest. For example, Goofy’s Stall reopens as part of the Fishing Expedition Quest.

After finding Goofy in his house and getting a short lesson in fishing, (see Quest: Fishing Expedition), you finally get Goofy’s Stall up and running. It’s time to put your gathering and harvesting skills to use. And perhaps even do a little mining and fishing. These are all great ways to pick up items to sell at Goofy’s Stall.

Quest Task: Help Goofy get back in business.

Pro Tip: Star Coins are an important currency in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The more the merrier.

Next up, Scrooge’s Store needs some love and care.

Repairing Scrooge’s Store will not be cheap. You’ll need 1000 Star Coins just to get the doors open. Then, of course, you’ll want to go shopping. Scrooge did promise a nice selection after-all. That will require even more Star Coins!

Once you have enough Star Coins to satisfy yourself (remember you can always sell more stuff later if you run short), you head to the Scrooge Sign in front of Scrooge’s boarded up store. Time to invest in repairs.
