Hades wants to clean up the Elysian Fields. Well, more correctly stated, he wants you to clean up Elysian Fields. In his opinion, it’s a mess and needs a mythic restoration. He’ll provide a little godly help by upgrading your pickaxe, so that it’s strong enough to remove the broken marble pillars. But, you need to gather the materials he needs to support his godly magic.

If you don’t have everything somewhere in Inventory, here is where to find it.

Quest Task: Return to Hades with the magical resources so he can upgrade your Royal Pickaxe.

Pro Tip: Craft Miracle Shovel Varnish or Even More Miraculous Shovel Varnish to get more resources every time you dig. This will not guarantee you’ll get gravel, but it will increase the changes. To increase the amount of items you get when digging even more, hang out with a Villager that has the digging role.

Take the materials to Hades and in no time, your Royal Pickaxe is stronger than ever!

Find a broken Marble Pillar and try it out. You can now reduce them to small chunks of marble that you can pick up and use for crafting. Not a bad prize for your cleanup efforts.

Still, Hades also wants you to get rid of some of the Demon Snippets. They are a little more challenging. The Demon Snippets always streak away with your first swing, causing you to chase them. But a little persistence pays off and soon they are in your Backpack, ready to be returned to the Lorekeepers pages.

Quest Task: Talk to Hades.

With the cleanup done in the Elysian Fields, it’s time to move on to decorating.

Hades decides the place needs statues… of him!

Everything you need to craft a statue of Hades is found by mining in Mythopia. Although Gold Nuggets can also be mined in the Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands and Frosted Heights of Dreamlight Valley. And, as you’ve just learned, Marble can also be obtained by removing the broken Marble Pillars.

Quest Task: Gather resources to build statues of Hades.

Once you have everything you need, head to a crafting station. You can find the Marble Hades Statue crafting recipe under Furniture.

Use the Marble Hades Statues to decorate Mythopia. The exact placement of the statues is completely up to you.

The mythic restoration is complete, and Hades is pleased with the results. However, he wants to know what the Villagers think of them… and him.

Since Hades is under the impression that no-one will be willing to give their honest feedback to a God, he wants you to become his spy.

Honestly, what he really wants is for you to disguise yourself and eavesdrop on conversations but spying sounds more impressive.

Quest Task: Dress up in a camouflaged outfit.

Your intel discovers that the Villagers like the Statues. All that is missing is a little flash, maybe some lightning, to add some excitement. In fact, there used to be a lightning machine here that would add that final touch.

Talk with the Lorekeeper. The Lightning Machine still exists and is sitting in the east wing of The Library of Lore. It’s fueled with Lightning Spice, which grows wild in Mythopia.

Take heed, however. The Lorekeeper warns you not to overload the machine with the spice. It isn’t all that stable.

Hades loves the idea of making his own Lightning. But when the Lightning Machine lets out its’ first bolt of lightning, he is underwhelmed. Was that it? That was just a single and very small bolt of lightning!

Hades wants something much more impressive. So, ignoring your warning, he stuffs more Lightning Spice into the Lightning Machine and…

Zap!

Quest Task: Fuel the Lightning Generator in the East Wing of the Library of Lore, using Lightning Spice.

Well, that didn’t go as Hades had planned. The Lightning Machine disintegrated, after sending a nice big zap right at Hades. Good thing Hades is immortal.

Maybe it’s time to forget all about Lighting Bolts!
