Scrooge is open for Business. The repairs are all complete and the place looks really nice. He even has a few items already displayed on the shelves. Now all he needs is more customers!

Scrooge, always mindful of the state of his money bins, is concerned over the lack of customers. He needs to get the word out that the store is once again open and is looking to you for help.

Presenting you with a cute promotional T-shirt, Scrooge requests that you wear it around Dreamlight Valley. It’s a great way to advertise his store, and it’s fashionable as well.

Quest Task: Put on the Scrooge’s Store promotional T-shirt.

Scrooge has another advertising idea in mind however he’ll need softwood to make it happen. You volunteer to gather some when you’re out and about.

Quest Task: Gather Softwood around the Village – 12.

• Press “+ ” (Switch Controls) to access the Collection menu to learn where to find Softwood.

Quest Task: Return to Scrooge McDuck.

After gathering the requested amount of wood, you return to Scrooge for further instructions. He wants you to make some signs, directing Villagers to his Store. It just so happens; Scrooge has crafting station in his shop that you can use along with instructions on how to craft.

Quest Task: Craft four signs for Scrooge’s Store using a Crafting Station – 4.

Now that you have the signs, it’s just a matter of placing them, strategically, around the Village. I don’t know about you, but 4 signs seem a little overkill to me. The Village isn’t all that big, at least not the area you can access at this point. But I suppose you can never advertise too much.

Quest Task: Place Scrooge’s Store signs around the Village – 4.

• Press “x” (Switch) to open your Backpack, then find the Scrooge’s Store signs in the Furniture section.

Quest Task: Talk to Scrooge McDuck.

Scrooge seems very pleased with the result of your signs. His shop has been quite busy. But, he’s not done yet. The storefront could use a little something and you can never go wrong with flowers.

Since Scrooge has a few flowerpots on hand that you can use, all you need to do is get the flowers. There are lots of flowers in the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow. Scrooge seems to favor Purple Rising Penstemon and Dandelions, so that’s what you’ll pick.

Really, Dandelions?! Did you know that dandelions are technically not weeds? You could have fooled me (I looked it up), especially when they are all over my lawn. Oh well, I guess Scrooge likes them regardless, so back to our story…

Quest Task: Gather the following items:

• Dandelion – 2
• Purple Rising Penstemon – 2

Quest Task: Craft Dandelion and Rising Penstemon Pot using the items collected.

Putting on your decorator’s hat (figuratively), decide where you’d like to put the new flowerpots. It appears there are a few other pots on the lawn that can be used in your landscaping plans or removed, if you prefer. It’s all up to you.
