Jafar is excited. He has uncovered an alchemical secret. If his research is correct, which he’s sure it is, he knows what is needed to craft the Gilded Stone! When he’s successful, it will be an Alchemical Revolution!

He’s ready to put his theory to the test and would like your assistance with the experiments. The first task is to figure out a way to crush some Iron Ore to dust.

Hmm, EVE’s Laser might be just what you need!

EVE’s Laser worked wonder on the Iron Ore. The Ore Dust is exactly what Jafar needs.

His first experiment will be to turn the Dust into Gold, with your help. You are about to get your first lesson in Alchemy!

Alchemy is a lot like cooking! You just need to combine the ingredients at an Alchemy Table instead of in the Kitchen.

The trick to creating Alchemical Gold, it seems, is to drop all three portions of Alchemical Iron Dust into the pot.

Quest Task: Perform your first alchemical experiment.

• Turn Iron Dust into Gold by mixing it at the Alchemy Table.

Although, as Jafar is quick to point out, there really isn’t very much of it. According to his research, there should have been a lot more.

Perhaps the abundance of Dreamlight Magic on Eternity Isle is causing the Alchemy results to be different? It’s a good theory. But it also causes Jafar to question his prior research.

You are quick to point out that there are other Villagers that are interested in alchemy and potions in Dreamlight Valley. It’s quite possible that they have some insight into, if and how Alchemy works differently here. You’re happy to go and ask them.

Quest Task: Approach other alchemically minded Villagers.

The Villager supplied a wealth of information.

Alchemy on Dreamlight Valley is all about Essences, the embodiment of emotions.

There are Major and Minor Essences. 3 Minor Essences Make 1 Major one.

Each of the Villagers was able to give you clues as to how to make some of the minor essences, but none of them have been successful in making a Major one. Hopefully you and Jafar will have better luck.

Equipped with the advice from Ursula, Jack, and the Fairy Godmother, you now know where to start to find some of the ingredients necessary to make some minor essences.

Quest Task: Gather the unique Alchemical Ingredients

• Fish an Ancient Sand-Polished Stone from quicksand in The Borderlands
• Grow a Mini Holiday Tree using Jack Skellington’s Holiday Seeds
• Catch the Book flying around Ancient’s Landing

Quest Task: Make sure you have all the unique Alchemical Ingredients in your Inventory

• Ancient Sand-Polished Stone
• Mini Holiday Tree
• Book on Fairy Magic

Pro Tip: Don’t forget to water the Mini Holiday Tree seeds. The Holiday Tree will grow almost immediately after it’s watered.

Take the Alchemical Ingredients to Jafar.

Jafar has been doing some research while you were gone as well. Combining what you’ve learned with his own research and ingredients, Jafar is able to create 7 minor essences!

Quest Task: Return to Jafar’s Laboratory in the Palace.

You are on the brink of an Alchemical Revolution. You have 7 Minor Essences to work with. If you figure out the right combination of three of them, you will have created the Major Essences that others have only dreamed of making!

Head to the table holding all of the Minor Essences. It’s to the left of the Alchemy Table in Jafar’s Laboratory. Select as many ingredients as you want and proceed to the Alchemy Table.

Quest Task: Mix Minor Essences to brew the Major Essences for the Gilded Stone

• (Use any combination of 3 Minor Essences from the resource table)
  • Essence of Will
  • Essence of Wonder
  • Essence of Wishes

Pro Tip: Essences on the resource table – Essence of Desire(red), Fantasy(rainbow), Determination (pink), Excitement(green), Patience (yellow), Hope (blue), Sincerity(orange)

You did make something, but it’s not the Alchemical Revolution that Jafar expected. It’s not the Gilded Stone.

What is this Mysterious Stone?

When Jafar sees the results of your work, he’s not very happy. Although, he does recognize the mysterious stone. It’s a stone of creativity.

Where did his research go wrong? He must try again, redouble his efforts, and…

Quest Task: Make sure you have the Mysterious Stone in your Inventory.

Quest Task: Your experimentation produced something strange! Show the Mysterious Stone to Jafar.

Before Jafar goes too far, you suggest trying to track down the Emotive Essences that you were told about. Maybe adding them to the Creativity Stone will do the trick.

It’s fairly easy for you to obtain the Essence of Wisdom and the Essence of Benevolence. You just need to do what comes very naturally to you.

Give favorite Gifts to some of the Villagers and complete some Dreamlight Duties. Before you know it, the Emotive Essences appear next to the Wishing Well at The Docks on Eternity Isle.

Take the Emotive Essences to Jafar.

Jafar combines them with the Creativity Stone and…well it’s not the Gilded Stone, that’s for sure!

The new stone is summoning positive emotions from Jafar. He’s not very pleased at first, but then changes his mind. It’s not the Alchemical Revolution he expected, but he now has some new ideas. This stone may just come in handy after all.
