Merlin, Timon, Pumbaa and you have come up with a multi-part plan to rid Dreamlight Valley of the Night Mites.

Meet Timon in the Plaza to get started with removing the infestation Part 1. This begins with finding and eliminating their nests. Timon is sure there is one nearby. He can smell it.

It sure is handy having an experienced bug catcher at your side!

Search the Plaza until you find the nest.

Timon was right! Finding the nest was a great idea. The Night Mites are darting back and forth in the Plaza but are always coming back to the nest. This way you can not only eliminate the nest, but also catch the loose Night Mites.

However, there is a problem…

No matter what you try, you can’t seem to get rid of the Night Mite Nest. Your Dreamlight Magic doesn’t appear to be strong enough!?

Timon has a great idea. Since the Night Mites appear to be filled with dark magic, perhaps The Forgotten will have some experience with them or an idea of how to get rid of their nests.

Quest Task: The Night Mite Nest won’t budge. Return to Timon.

Quest Task: Talk to the Forgotten about clearing the Night Mite Nest.

The Forgotten has some good advice. They have a formula for a tonic that can be used to boost your Dreamlight Magic’s power.

But there is another concern. The Night Mites are now aware of your presence and have likely increased their defense. They are going to be on alert, which will make getting rid of them much more difficult.

You need a Bug disguise if you hope to creep up on them and catch them.

Gather some materials to make Night Mite Wings for your disguise. Here is where to find anything that isn’t already collected and stored safely in one of your storage chests.

Gold Nugget – Mine in Frosted Heights, Forgotten Lands, and Sunlit Plateau (random drop)

Fabric – Crafted from Cotton. Cotton seeds can be purchased at Goofy’s Stall in the Sunlit Plateau for 42 Star Coins. It grows in 25 minutes but needs to be watered several times during that period.

Fiber – Crafted from Seaweed. 1 Seaweed makes 5 Fiber.

Quest Task: Gather materials for the Night Mite Wings:

• Gold Nugget – 3
• Fabric – 5
• Fiber – 30

The Forgotten’s power boosting formula is fairly simple to make, but it does require a rather unique ingredient, Night Mushrooms.

Night Mushrooms are found in the secret room in the Frosted Height. It’s the same place that you first found Olaf.

You’ll also need ginger and sugarcane. Here is where to find these items.

• Sugarcane Cost: 29 Star Coins
• Seeds Sold: Goofy’s Stall-Dazzle Beach (first 2 seeds sold)
• Seed Cost: 5 Star Coins
• Grow Time: 7 min.
• Yield: 1

Quest Task: Gather ingredients for the Dreamlight Boost Tonic:

• Night Mushroom from the Frosted Heights secret room – 3
• Ginger – 1
• Sugarcane – 1

Now that you have everything you need, it’s time to implement The Forgotten’s suggestions.

Find a Cooking Station and whip up some Dreamlight Boost Tonic. Be sure to open your Inventory and drink (eat) it.

Craft the Night Mite Wings at a standard crafting station. The crafting recipe is located in the Functional Items menu.

Now that you have Night Mite Wings, it’s time to figure out the rest of your Night Mite Disguise. What you decide to wear, besides the wings, is completely up to you. It just needs to include something black and something purple.

Quest Task: Return to Timon.

• Some Purple Clothing

Wearing your disguise, go back to the Night Mite Nest in the Plaza. It’s time to see if the Dreamlight Boost Tonic is strong enough to eliminate the nest.

And… it works!!
