The Music’s on the Walls

The next section of Skull Rock is open and as you reach the end of the path, a gathering area appears. Music’s on the walls, but the notes that appear do not make a song. Hmm. Looks like another puzzle awaits.

A Memory and A Map

A Glowing Musical Note is floating around the room. Follow it and a Memory appears. Check it out.

A key also appears near Shadow. Take the Key to the Captain’s Room and unlock his chest. Inside is a treasure map.

The Memory and the Map are clues to more Glowing Musical Notes. It’s time for a treasure hunt

Quest Tasks:

  • Follow “The Forgotten” and the Shadow in Skull Rock
  • Talk to “The Forgotten”
  • Investigate inside Skull Rock for clues to find more Glowing Notes
    • Pick up the Memory found in Skull Rock
    • Unlock and search the Captain’s Chest
  • Return to Echo to discuss the Pirate map and the new Memory
  • Use the Pirate map and the Memory from your Collection Menu to find:
    • Buried pirate treasure – 1
    • Glowing Musical Note – 5

The Treasure Hunt

Talk to the Skulls to get the first note. They will once again give you a riddle to answer. The Solution is “Pixie Dust”.

From there, visit the locations in the Memory:

  • Dream Castle – Chase the Note inside the Castle to catch it
  • Forgotten Lands Dreamscape Treehouse – Chase the Note inside the Treehouse to catch it
  • Mystic Cave – Fish for the Note inside the cave
  • Olaf’s Cave in Frosted Heights – Break the Ice Piles to uncover the Note

The Treasure Map has an “X” on Ariel’s Island. Take the raft on Skull Rock Island’s shore across to Ariel’s Island. A Pirate Flag marks a spot on your left to dig. A Pan Flute is buried in the sand there.

Positioning the Music on the Wall

Take the Musical Notes and Pan Flute you collected back to the room in Skull Rock where the music’s on the wall. Set everything on the music stand and see what happens.

Hmm. Guess you need to do more. The music’s on the wall, but the notes are still in the wrong spots.

Adjust each note by interacting with the barrel in front of it. Match the position of each note with the music found on the music stand. For example, raise the leftmost note 1 position, so that it is on the second line from the bottom. Continue in this manner until all the notes, on both sides, are in place.

Go back to the Music Stand and play the music on the wall by interacting with the Pan Flute.

Quest Tasks:

  • Return to Skull Rock with the Glowing Musical Notes and the Pan Flute
  • Make sure you have in your Inventory
    • Glowing Musical Notes – 5
    • Pan Flute – 1
  • Return to Echo with the Glowing Musical Notes and Pan Flute
  • Place the Pan Flute and Glowing Musical Notes on top of the music stand in Skull Rock
  • Play the complete score by using the notes on:
    • The left side of the music wall
    • The right side of the music wall
  • Activate the Pan Flute

The Shadow’s Mischief

The Shadow swoops past the musical notes on the walls just after you have them in position and rearranges them once again.

To solve this puzzle, you need to trap the Shadow. Turn the lanterns in the room so they all point to the spot in between the notes on the wall. As in past quests, this works wonders, and the Shadow is stuck in place.

Reposition the notes once again and play the Pan Flute.

It’s Peter Pan!

Quest Tasks:

  • Oh no! The shadow is playing games with us!
    • Talk to Echo
  • The Shadow moved the musical notes around on the wall
    • Find a way to trap the Shadow in one place
    • Redo the left side of the music wall
    • Redo the right side of the music wall
  • Activate the Pan Flute again
  • It’s Peter Pan. Talk to him

Hide-and-Seek

Peter Pan still does not trust grown-ups and you now fit into that category. So, if you want Peter Pan to join the Valley, you need to prove to him that you can be trusted.

That leads to a game of hide-and-seek and Peter Pan is pretty good at hiding.

There are a few options for you now, if you want to get all the dialog in the quest. However, in the end, head to The Forgotten’s Dark Castle using the portal near the Plaza Well. Peter Pan is hiding near the top.

Quest Tasks:

  • Play hide-and-seek with Peter Pan
    • Talk to Echo
  • Find Peter Pan’s hiding spot somewhere in the Valley
    • Optional: Ask any good hide-and-seekers for clues – 6
    • Optional: Follow Peter Pan’s Pixie Dust trail – 7
  • Enter the Dark Castle to search for Peter Pan
  • That looks like a Pixie Dust Trail
    • Follow it to find Peter Pan
  • You found him!
    • Talk to Peter Pan

Pro Tip: To get the complete and sometimes amusing dialog, get hints from the following Villagers before entering the Dark Castle: Vanellope, Goofy, Scar, Simba, Olaf, Nala

Welcome Peter Pan

Your involvement in the game, and the fact that you found Peter Pan, is enough to convince him to leave Skull Rock and join the other Villagers in Dreamlight Valley.

But he needs a place to live. Scope out a location and stake out a spot by setting down building materials.

Talk to Scrooge about construction. He charges 20,000 Star Coins and in seconds, Peter Pan’s home is complete.

Welcome to Dreamlight Valley Peter Pan!!

Quest Tasks:

  • Place Peter Pan’s House in the Valley
  • Unlock Peter Pan’s House using the Scrooge McDuck Sign
  • Welcome Peter Pan
