There is really only one gem that qualifies as Yellow in Disney Dreamlight Valley and that is Topaz. The nice thing about Topaz, however, is that it can be found in any of the Dreamlight Valley locations, if you know where to look.

Here is the list of locations.

Topaz

• Plaza (Dreamlight Valley)
• The Courtyard in Ancient’s Landing (Eternity Isle)
• The Docks in Ancient’s Landing (Eternity Isle)
• The Bind (Storybook Vale)

Topaz is needed for two different Star Path Duties in the Frost & Fairies Star Path. Duty 72 specifically calls out Shiny Topaz, while Star Path Duty 104 asks for a lot of yellow gems.

• Star Path Duty 72: Find Shiny Topaz with your Pickaxe – Mine 2 Shiny Topaz
• Star Path Duty 104: Mine for purple or yellow gems – Mine 30 gems

Topaz is found in 2 locations on Eternity Isle.

You initially arrive at The Docks, a section of Ancients Landing. It’s a good place to mine for Topaz.

To get to the second Topaz location, The Courtyard, you need to complete Merlin’s quest and progress through a portion of Jafar’s quest. The quests are:

• The Port of Many Worlds – Merlin Quest
• The Secrets of Eternity Isle – Jafar Quest

Yellow Gems, Topaz, are also found on Storybook Vale. Here, too, you need to adventure through 2 quests. However, you also need 500 Story Magic, Storybook Vale’s new “currency” to open the pathway to The Bind.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a lifestyle simulation game available on console, PC, Steam and mobile. Originally launched in September of 2022 in early release, it has since grown to well over a million followers and further expanded with two purchasable DLC. A Rift in Time DLC was released on December 5, 2023. The Storybook Vale DLC was released on November 20, 2024.

Players live in a magical dream world with Disney/Pixar characters where they take on adventures with their friends, decorate the Valley and solve the mystery of The Forgetting.
