Wonders of Wonderland

A Shrinking Door
Behind the Night Thorns, the middle door on the top floor of Dream Castle looks like any other entrance to a Dreamlight Valley Realm. But, as soon as you use your Dreamlight Magic on it, 15,000 Dreamlight Magic at that, something strange happens!
As expected, the Night Thorns that are blocking the door melt away. But, as soon as you try to enter, the door shrinks. There is no way you can fit through it now!
Quest Task: Talk to Merlin about the tiny door to the Alice in Wonderland Realm.

A White Rabbit
Not only did the Dream Castle Door become tiny, but a white rabbit came running out. This is not The White Rabbit, because it is not wearing any special outfit, but it is a white rabbit. And, more importantly, it came from the Alice in Wonderland Realm.
So, better follow it and find out where it goes.
Quest Task: Follow the White Rabbit by exiting the Dream Castle into the Village.
Quest Task: Follow the White Rabbit in the Plaza in Dreamlight Valley.

Follow the White Rabbit
The white rabbit leads you on a merry chase through the Plaza, into the Peaceful Meadow, and back to the Plaza.
Wait, that Rabbit Hole in the side of the slope leading to the Forest of Valor wasn’t there before! And the white rabbit just scurried through it, leaving a Pocket Watch behind!
Quest Task: Pick up the Pocket Watch the rabbit left behind.

Going Down a Rabbit Hole
Pick up the Pocket Watch and keep it in your backpack Inventory. You’ll need it later.
Then take a closer look at the rabbit hole. As soon as you do, you somehow fall down into it and what a fall it is!
Wonders of Wonderland! You reach the bottom and gently land on the ground, totally unharmed!
Quest Task: Inspect the rabbit hole on the slop that leads from the Plaza into the Forest of Valor.

Wonderland Forest Entrance
There are more Wonders of Wonderland all around you. You’ve landed in a colorful clearing with lots of bright flowers and a pretty waterfall. The path leads only one direction. North. And it looks like Alice is just ahead!
Quest Task: Explore the forest in the Alice in Wonderland Realm.
Pro Tip: If you turn around and leave, using the warp point, you’ll find yourself next to the Rabbit Hole, not in Dream Castle.

Navigate the Forest
Before heading off to explore the wonders of Wonderland, it’s good to have a general understanding of the Wonderland Forest’s layout. Otherwise, it is easy to get turned around.
The Forest has a bit of a “Lost Woods” feel to it once you head north, out of the clearing with the waterfall where you enter the Realm. So, knowing the basic lay of the land will help you navigate the Wonders of Wonderland Forest.
As mentioned, the Waterfall clearing is the southmost point in the Wonderland Realm. It is centered directly below the rest of the forest, which is made up of three rows of 3 fairly similar looking circular areas. Each one of the 3 by 3 areas or clearings has a small pond in its’ center.
Heading North from the Waterfall clearing, you arrive in the middle “circular area” of the Bottom Row. Here are a few landmarks to help you find your way around
- Stack of books – Bottom Row: Center clearing
- Cheshire Cat – Bottom Row: Left clearing
- Singing Flowers – Middle Row: Center clearing

More About the Landmarks
Here are a few more details about the Landmarks.
Book Stack: Bottom Row – Center
Move into the Bottom Row – Center area from the Waterfall entrance and look to the right. There is a stack of books on the Southeast side of the clearing, just before the path turns to circle the pond. A Pencil Bird will eventually be perched on top of the book stack, but that occurs a little later.
Cheshire Cat: Bottom Row – Left
Take the path to your left to reach the Cheshire Cat’s tree. It is on the west side of this next clearing.
When you reach the Cheshire Cat’s tree, you are standing in the lower left of the 3×3 areas of the forest.
Singing Flowers: Middle Row – Center
Return to the clearing in the Bottom Row – Center, with the forest entrance directly to your south. Head North from there to the Center clearing of the Middle Row. There is a group of Singing Flowers in the top left side of the clearing.
These are the key landmarks in the Wonderland Forest. Head back to the Bottom Row – Center to continue with the quest.

Meet Alice
It’s time to meet Alice. She is standing in the Bottom Row – Center clearing of the 3×3 forest areas, near its’ pond.
Alice is trying to reach the Queen’s Garden and invites you to join her. As soon as you agree, she bids you to follow her and she takes off on a run.
Quest Task: Talk to Alice.

Where’s Alice
You might be quick, but Alice is faster. She runs in the direction of the Cheshire Cat’s Tree, located in the Bottom Row – Left clearing.
But by the time you reach it, Alice is gone. All that remains to indicate that Alice was there, are her footprints on the ground.
Circle the pond and check out the big red tree. The Cheshire Cat sits high atop a branch, grinning!
Quest Task: Inspect the footprints on the ground.

Cheshire Cat’s Advice
Ask Cheshire Cat where Alice is.
It shouldn’t really be a surprise when he doesn’t give you a straight answer. However, he does seem to know how to find Alice, so you need to play along.
Cheshire Cat wants you to find his “smiles” in the forest. Are you ready to tackle your first scavenger hunt in the Wonderland Forest?
Quest Task: Talk to the Cheshire Cat.

Finding the Smiles
Cheshire Cat’s first Smile is found in the Bottom Row – Right clearing. So, you just need to head east from the Cheshire Cat’s tree. The smile is on a rock on the NE side of the clearing. “Remove” the smile from the rock and the second Smile will appear somewhere in the forest.
The second Smile is in the Middle Row-Left Clearing. An easy way to see it, is to head the Middle Row-Center, near the Singing Flowers and look down the path to the west, into the next clearing. The Smile is on a bush on the west side of the Middle Row-Left Clearing.
The third Smile is in the Top Row-Center Clearing. This one is on a tree on the Southeast side of the Clearing. The tree has a “This Way” sign tacked to it.
Pro Tip: Only one of the Cheshire Cat’s smiles will show up in the forest at a time.

More Time Needed!
Once you have removed all of Cheshire Cat’s Smiles from the forest, head back to Cheshire Cat’s tree.
Unbeknown to you, Cheshire Cat set a time limit on finding the Smiles. And it appears your time ran out before you were done. Although, it could be argued that no matter how fast you would have found the Smiles, you still would be out of time. This is Wonderland after all. But I digress.
In any case, since you are out of time, Cheshire Cat won’t give you any more information on how to find Alice.
But Cheshire Cat has good news. There is a way to make More Time!
Making More Time is just another of the wonders of Wonderland. A little coaching from Cheshire Cat, a special recipe and a boat load of ingredients is all that it takes!

Search for Ingredients
The ingredients you need to make “More Time” are found in hidden chests within the Wonderland Forest. Look around the forest for rocks, bushes and logs that have turned pink or purple. When you approach them, you’ll find that they are actually storage chests.
During your search for ingredients, make sure you also find the two chests containing items not on the ingredients list. You’ll be glad you did.
Quest Task: Find Ingredients in the Wonderland Realm to cook More Time in hidden chests:
- Wonderland Salt
- Wonderland Sugar
- More Wonderland Sugar
- Tea Leaves
- Butter
- Jam
- Lemon
Quest Task: Talk to Cheshire Cat at his tree.
Pro Tip: While some of the items on Cheshire Cat’s list sound like common things that you have in your Valley Inventory chests, these are actually all Wonders of Wonderland quest items and will be found in the Realm.

Head to the Queen’s Maze
Now that you have more time, Cheshire Cat informs you that there is a path to the Queen’s Maze leading out of the Wonderland Forest. You just need to find it.
Oh, but you do get some help this time. The Mome Rath, located all around the forest, will form an arrow when you approach them, to help point you in the right direct.
Quest Task: Talk to Cheshire Cat.

Path to the Queen’s Maze Entrance
You have a couple choices. The Mome Rath will indeed, ultimately, get you to a portal leading to the Queen’s Maze. Although, you will likely take a little bit of a tour of the Wonderland Forest in the process. Still, it can be fun to follow the arrows.
Or, you can take a shot at finding the entrance to the Queen’s Maze without any help.
But, for those who just want the answer, read on.
Quest Task: Follow the Mome Rath arrows to the exit of the forest.
Quest Task: Or, search for the exit on your own.

The Tree Portal
A new path has opened up, leading to the North out of the Top Row-Right Clearing. Follow the path until you come to a Tree Portal.
Stepping through the portal will transport you to the Entrance to the Queen’s Maze. And…this quest ends.
Quest Task: Use the portal in the tree to continue your search for Alice.
